'A little girl at the wedding afterwards asked her mother why the bride changed her mind. What do you mean? responded her mother. Well, she went down the aisle with one man, and came back with another'
Question today: My question came easily after listening to z100 this morning (and getting rather annoyed)
1.Would you be upset, or ask a friend to step out of the bridal party if her physical appearance changed before the wedding? ie-became over weight, got a terrible hair cut?
2. Would you have them sign a contract stating they will not do anything tochange their appearance?

Re: QOTD February 4
Good morning to you too I would nevvvvvver get rid of a person because of how they looked on the outside. The people that we picked had nothing to do with the way they looked. I would only get rid of somebody if their inside change (attitude, jealousy, etc.) things like that. I saw a Bridezilla once that made her BM sign a contract, put them on a diet and put a lock on the fridge. That is crazy to me, I dont know why anybody would want to be in her wedding after that.

I have seen this bridal contract before and I gave it to my BMs as a joke because it is so ridiculous....but no I would never ask a girl to not be in my wedding because of her appearance.

I would never do anything like that, I think that is going way too far, some of my girls have asked me if I'm going to tell them to wear their hair or pick out their shoes and I'm not even doing things like that. They're supposed to me a part of my day because I want to share it with them not control them.

morning!!!!!
i'd never ask my girls to leave just because their appearance changed! there's a reason they're my friends and their appearance had nothing to do with our friendship so it shouldn't have anything to do with them being in my wedding!!

that is crazy...I don't listen to z100 in the morning but I can't believe people would even consider talking about that. I love my friends (BM) for who they are!

Absolutely not!!! Well, I wouldn't ask a friend to step down or ask them to sign a K. I probably would be 'upset' if a friend got a giant tattoo that would show in pictures or shaved her head, but I wouldn't stop her from doing it and I definitely wouldn't kick her out of the bridal party.

absolutely NOT!!! thats very rude. even if it crossed my mind, i cound never. the person would be insulted. and anyway, dont you ask the people who are closest to you to be in your bridal party? it shouldnt matter what their appearance is. you can always find them a different and more flattering dress, good makeup artist and amazing hair stylist.

Re: QOTD February 4
Definately not. I love my friends for who they are.
Granted, my FH's brother has horrible long frizzy hair that he sometimes braids but for the most part just wears in a sloppy ponytail. I have suggested that he cut his hair...but not just for my wedding. He looks so much better with short hair and the whole family keeps telling him to cut it...I guess that's just the style nowadays.

OF COURSE NOT! Who cares what they look like, they are my friends/family and I love them for who they are. I would never in a million years tell them they have to change their look or sign a contract.
I would love to see one though, because I do think it is hysterical. I would also like to meet the bride who actually made her maids sign this ridiculous piece of paper.

absolutely not! haha my sister said that our mom said that she has to wait to get pregnant until after my wedding. I told her that she can waddle down the aisle for all i care!! I agree with you girls... these are the people closest to me, and I am honored to have them by my side (no matter what they look like!)

I would never ask my BMs to sign a contract or ask them to step down because of the way they look. I am asking them because they are women who I am proud to have stand next to me when I marry the man I love. IMO, a hair cut shouldn't change life-long friendships.

NEVER! I think that it is terrible that some people would give out a contract like that. If they are your true friends its what is on the inside that counts! My father always taught me never to judge a book by its cover. I like my bridal party because they are all good people!

Re: QOTD February 4
I would never get rid of anyone for physical appearance and I would never make anyone sign a contract for physical apperance, I think that is selfish and pathetic.
