oh god, I still get teased for the loooonnng list of texts..I didnt even remember who I talked to or who I called..Although..the first to find out on the phone was my best friend cousin/ido (im a dork) Kim...seriously my mom almost killed me but in MY defense..her phone went straight to voice mail!!
oh yeah and we had made a pact a month before that 'whenever' we got engaged we would wait one whole hour before breaking the news so we could have alone time to just enjoy the newness and the happiness.we sat in tellers restaurant at the gold bar and just like smiled smiled smiled til our cheeks hurt..I think I am going to cry lol

Good question, We called my mom first, then FH's mom and dad, then my dad then all of our friends. I started to call them 1 by 1, but FH sent out a huge text to everyone. SO many people were sleeping that they didnt find out until the next day, so I got to tell the story again!

I waited about awhile to call my parents.. I wanted to enjoy the moment... and I was really confused how I was going to tell them... lol
I told my sister first (bc she picked up the house phone), then my mom and my dad (who knew he was going to propose). My mom was beating my dad over the head, bc he knew that FH was going to propose and he never told her.
We went out to a fancy dinner afterwards (I kep looking at my ring) then I called my best friend... and also sent a mass text message

I called my sister and texted a lot of people and then got a lot of call backs
I told my parents the next day and the family that was around for Thanksgiving
And called my grandma and autn and uncle...to say they were less than enthused is a understatement....
But 97% of everyone was thrilled!!!

i called Mommy first!!!!! then Dad, then my cousin, then my Godmother, then my MOH...then we had like 20 ppl calling US which was so annoying I just wanted to enjoy it!! apparently one of my BMs posted on facebook 'CONGRATULATIONS!' so thats when phonecalls started lol...u gotta love facebooK!!

I was told to call my Mom first (apparently she already knew). Then my daughter. Then I didn't have to tell any friends because he told everyone already. He wanted to propose about 2 weeks before but I fell asleep and we didn't go out.

Firstly we went to my parents house & told my mom & FH & I were talking with her until my dad got home an hour. Then we told my dad, next my sister, then my brother, SIL & their kids. (my nephew was jumping around the house & said a toast to us).
then did a mass text.
edit: the only person who knew that he was going to propose was FMIL.

Fh proposed in front of my family with fmil and his cousin was there also. His father was in the hospital with cancer so we immediately went to him but he already knew and was all smiles. then of course i sent a mass text to my other friends and family telling them the wonderful news

i called mom first, but she was out and her cell phone went straight to voicemail. then i sent out a textmessage to everybody and i can't tell you how many calls i got. i showed grandma my ring and she didn't realize it was an engagement ring. the next day, i showed up at my godmother's house and showed her my hand, then i went to my other aunts house and did the same thing.

My mother and FH's mom was there so I didn't need to call them. I think I called my dad and then my best friends/BM. However, none of the BM's answered right away. It was so frustrating but then they called 15-30 minutes later.
