When you got engaged who did you tell first and how did you tell everyone else?
I obv called my mom first, then i actually talked to only.... 10 people.
I texted about 50 other people saying, 'yo.. i just got engaged'
Gotta love the mass text messages!!!

Well since FH proposed in Bermuda, we had no cell service and we had to buy calling cards to make any phone calls in the US. The very first person we called was my mom, and then we called his mom. As much as I loved being there with him in Bermuda, I couldn't wait to get home and call everyone!

FH proposed on vacation in the Rockies around 9:30 p.m. mountain time...12:30 a.m. our time on 1/20/09... so it was a weeknight. I called my sister / dad / other sister... no one answered. I felt bad calling everyone else... Except my brother who is in the MIddle East (NAVY). He is 8 hours ahead and didn't answer his phone.
My bestfriend called to offer us a ride back to our resort from the restaurant we were at so her and her bf were the first to know. Then our other 2 friends who were with us on vacay. The first text was to my friend Tina...who literally prayed in church for this to happen while we were on vacation... LOL. She's too cute. Second text to my brother...since he didn't answer his phone.
The next day though...first call was to my 2 sisters & dad, then my aunts, cousins and close friends. At first I was so disappointed I couldn't tell everyone... but it was fine. We were up all night celebrating with great people in a ski town...had a blast.

First was FH's grandmother.
We were supposed to go over there for a visit before going to my parents house for Thanksgiving. We didn't say anything, then she just so happened to see it. She was crying, tears of joy of course. LOL Then the rest of FH's family made it over there, then off to my parents. They had seen the ring because he went over there to ask. I do love some traditions. My sister noticed the ring about 20 minutes after she got there.
