It's finally Friday ladies!!!! So for today, let's talk last name.
Do you plan on completely changing your last name when you get married? If not, are you going to hyphenate it?
If you are changing it, what nationality is your current last name and what nationality will your new last name be?
PS. Saturday's QOTD is probably going to be late because I will be driving home from Jersey.

im going to change my last name otherwise my mother would die...my last name now is irish and my future last name is dutch, which is funny bc my FH is adopted by his stepfather and he isnt even dutch

i might hypenate my name...I'm not too sure. I definitely want to keep my last name. My last name has a nice family tradition attached to it with all the women in my family so I would like to keep it. It is definitely going to be a toss up between hypenating it and just keeping my last name.

you can totally do that! you can keep your last name in terms of your career and change your name (or hypenate it) for family reasons (ie the kids).
I think at the end of the day, it only really matters as long as your children have your husband's last name. But in this day and age, we can do anything. My FH even suggested we both change our name to 'miller-ramos' (my last name and his last name) which made me smile!

it will be from Italian to Italian lol but we found out that FH's family was originally from Spain but invaded Italy!

I think I'm gonna hyphenate... I love FH but he has a funny last name, that might be a male bodily fluid- lol, and I just crack up every time I say it!!
