OK, since I'm still up and technically it is Friday, here's my question
What do you plan on doing at/for your wedding to make it personal? How will you make your guests know and feel that they are at your wedding and not at a cookie cutter wedding?
maybe special food, music, something important to both you and FH, etc

FH and I are really into our West Indian culture, so we will be having steel pan players during cocktail hour as well as having Caribbean dancers after dinner.

We are doing table names of past and current yankee players and i am hoping to have the placecards made to look like yankee tickets.
We are coming into Mariano Riveras song.
And we will have a couple added Yankee/baseball type things thrown in too.
FH is a huge Yankee fan....i love those ideas....care to share some pointers ? ;)

OMG Eloise, I saw these EXACT placecards set up at the Riviera last time we went to make a payment! They looked SO awesome!

Oh yes, they were Yankees tickets, and they had them sitting in these little mini wooden baseball bats with slits. The brides side had 'left field' written on them and the grooms had 'right field' I guess denoting which side of the room, and then table numbers. It was really cute!
I love love love this idea....where can i find something like that ?

we have sports for him: walking out to the rangers goal song in custom jerseys table #s are going to be sports players jerseys mr met at the cocktail hr (as long as there is no home game that weekend next week)
