OK, since I'm still up and technically it is Friday, here's my question
What do you plan on doing at/for your wedding to make it personal? How will you make your guests know and feel that they are at your wedding and not at a cookie cutter wedding?
maybe special food, music, something important to both you and FH, etc

well, everyone knows I'm a huge halloween fanatic so my cps are pumpkins.
we're incorporating a salsa dance into our 1st dance.
FH is determined to do some sort of stupid transformers thing. Right now he has our entrance w either the transformers theme song or Eye of the Tiger from Rocky.

Great question!! We're doing a few fun things to make it our 'own' wedding...
- Personalized M&Ms - not sure if we're going to do Yankees/Mets or Jets.. or just us on them
- My toss bouquet will be a bo-k of lottery tickets and scratch offs
- I'm obsessed with candles, so they're going to be everywhere... including table numbers
- we didn't get a traditional wedding band... they're more of a 'bar band' that FH is obsessed with (They're actually playing tonight at the Nutty in bay shore if anyone wants to check them out LOL)

I dont think that i am doing anything to personal my family is very traditional irish catholic. I know my great aunt is going to faint because my dress has color fh and i just put little twist on tradition where are could. I know his family not happy because we arent having a jewish ceremony and we are getting married in a catholic church. We are doing the whole wedding our way

my band is called Voices. They play everything, but every member of that band is first generation Italian or OTB They will be incorporating a lot of italian music to let all of my guests enjoy the party more. we will also have a lot of traditional italian touches throughout the wedding

a couple things we thought of so far:
Favors will be a donation to American Heart Association because FH dad and uncle both passed away from heart attacks and because they fund my research
Table numbers will be movie quotes about love, both funny and serious, from our favorite movies. FH and I are ALWAYS quoting movies and people think we are crazy.
Our ceremony will have songs that are meaningful to us instead of the standard wedding march and canon in D
We are considering a cigar roller, but that will depend on our budget, but FH and my dads Italian posse would all love that
I am DIYing as much as possible. So hopefully that will make it more personal.

The flower girls are having white daisies in their hair since both my sister and mom had white daisies in their weddings, and we are using FHs grandmother's plain gold wedding band for the ring in our ceremony.

We are coming into Mariano Riveras song.
And we will have a couple added Yankee/baseball type things thrown in too.

Oh yes, they were Yankees tickets, and they had them sitting in these little mini wooden baseball bats with slits. The brides side had 'left field' written on them and the grooms had 'right field' I guess denoting which side of the room, and then table numbers. It was really cute!

ummmm well there will be greek food/ greek dancing, cause im greek, a greek ceremony....anddd everyonee willl know the whole wedding was planned by me because it is going to be soo obviously my taste by the decor.
we are having an irish bag piper play as we exit the church as a married couple because we are both irish, we are also doing an inlaws dance because his father has no daughters and it was something special to do, and also show that our families are now one

Our ceremony in itself is going to be very different. Since I am jewish and FH is Roman Catholic we are having the best of both incorporated into our ceremony. We have a Rabbi and a monsignore marrying us so its going to be very personal and most people that will be there have never been to an interfaith ceremony so that will be great.

We will be doing signature drinks, and cigar table since FH likes cigars.
