QOTD: How would you describe your wedding day look

Not sure if there was a QOTD yet - but I'm bored

how would you describe your wedding day look? girls who aren't married yet what is the look you want to achieve?

for awhile i thought i wanted to have this sexy bride look going on - but in the end, i think the style/look i am going for is elegant and timeless - my dress is on the plain side, my accessories are very simple, almost antique looking, and in the end i think im going to end up with a simple updo and make up that is more on the natural side....

for some reason i thought i would end up with a more red carpet /glam look - and i was into oversized jewelry and i wanted to wear my hair long and down but it ends up that the things i liked and picked were the total opposite of that i just want to be naturally beautiful that day, so i guess the look i want to achieve that day is simple/elegant and timeless....kind of reminds me of an 06 bride - camacho - i always thought she was a natural beauty on her wedding day and i feel like her look was very simple and timeless...

From the beginning I wanted a timeless look. I didn't want a trendy dress because in 20 years 'trendy' is 'dated'

Every thing I picked has an elegant, classy look about it.


I think i also worried a lil about a trendy dress and how in 20 years we'll look back and think W**, one of those pics our kids will laugh at us for wearing hahaha. I hope 20 years from now when they look at my pics they wont laugh

Classy, elegant, timeless were things I thought of all along ... now, all of a sudden, vintage comes to mind. my dress has a vintage look to it, and my jewelry, hair, etc all tie into that and I didn't even really try for that. but that's what it is and I love it!


You took the EXACT thoughts out of my brain...how did you do that?? My look is beginning to take on the vintage feel as well..and I always thought I'd want classy & timeless. Love it though and wouldn't have it any other way!!

i didnt know either lol. But ill answer it now, my look was 'ME' thats all i can say. I did different things but all things that i say were perfect for me. Dress was a bit more traditional but then my shoes, make up and hair werent that traditional so i did a mix of both which is how i am. I like some classic things but also like to throw things in for a dramatic effect. What did i look like on my wedding day, like myself hahaha. My look doesnt fit into one category bc i showed the different sides of me

a very traditional and time-honored look.. i had a customary old fashioned indian wedding and got flowers from india for it as well.. the reception, we wanted something totally different and went with very 'bejeweled' outfit..

I thought more about this, and I think I will look VERY Italian that day. Big veil, lots of dark hair, etc. Like my mom in the 70s.

I went for more of a romantic look. I also wanted simple pink make-up. I really didn't want to get lost in my look and not have people recognize me. Also my bangs were pinned back because I really coudn't be bothered with them swept in my face (even though I love that look).

you should go for the staten island bride look its funny - my goal is to look like the complete opposite!

I was just thinking the same thing, but then again.. we laughed at our parents, so chances are good our kids will laugh at us!

I think all in all I am gonig for the romantic elegant look. The dress is poofier than I would have ever imagined I would get, which makes me feel more princess like...i think I am happy with the look, no changing it now!
