FH and I met at the bar that he works at - becuase I was performing at the theatre next door. We knew each other for a few years before we starting dating and the we starting hanging out November of 2008 and started officially dating Dec 2008

Yayyyyyyy! Hello BOTW and welcome! We actually met online believe it or not. My cousin had suggested it to me but I felt a little weird about it in the beginning. I kept contemplating about the idea but then finally said what do I have to lose so I gave it a shot. Till this day FH and I argue who reached out to who first. I say it was me and he says it was him. Lol Needless to say, after the whole communications process and such we spoke via the phone for two weeks everyday and finally met. I backed out of our first date because I was so nervous but finally got enough courage to meet. He had the sweetest smile and it was a done deal. We exchanged horror stories with online dating and shared lots and lots of laughs with each story. There was just such an ease with our conversations and I enjoyed being in his company. There was this comfort when being around him that I had never experienced before and that is when I got a little scared. I guess because I was guarded from past relationships and did not want to get hurt again. He showed me it was ok for me to let my guard down and when I fell in love with him he caught me and has not let go since. =) Very lucky and truly blessed

My FH and I met in high school and had a ton of mutual friends but our main interaction was me copying his AP Calculus homework everyday during an Italian class we sat next to each other in. We didn't start really getting to know each other until our summer after our HS graduation and right before we both left for college in different states. We started dating our freshman year of college and have been going strong for over 6 six years since then (4 of which were long distance through college!). The process of growing up and achieving so many milestones in our lives together has been priceless and I truly believe he's my soulmate!!

FH and I met online on OKCupid. He contacted me first, he tells me he didn't expect a response since he said I was gorgeous and he thought I wouldn't give him the time of day. LOL! He also told me he emailed another girl at the time who was more like him in terms of his interests (FH is a big gamer, me? not so much lol), but he clicked with me more.
We messaged back and forth for a couple of days, talked on the phone for a day and were meeting up on our first date by the end of the week. We bonded really quick and started calling each other bf/gf within two weeks.

Fh and I met in middle school.. Ms Schillingers 5th period 7th grade English class lol. We started dating then and then on and off through middle and high school.. Took an almost 3 year break from eachother which I wouldn't change for the world. I learned so much about myself in that time about who I was and what I wanted in life. We got back together soon after I dumped my then-boyfriend and we got engaged a year and a half after that :) engaged since November and getting married August 2016 :)

FH and I met when we were 14 in High School and were best friends. We lost touch during college and then hung out at bbq a year after I graduated college in our hometown and we have been together since. We just celebrated our 5 year anniversary :)

Your good!! Thanks for volunteering!! We met through my ex bf and his friend ( and a groomsmen in our wedding) lol we clearly didn't work out so we stayed friends and then a few years later we started dating and this Aug will be 8 yrs!

We met almost 3 years ago (July 15th) at a beer garden in Astoria, Queens. A friend of a friend of FH's started talking to my MOH and I and invited us over to their table. We started talking, exchanged numbers that night, spoke on the phone for over 2 hours 2 days later and went on our first date 5 days after meeting. Since it was the summer and I was off, we hung out quite a bit. We became 'official' on September 8th.

FH and I met at my first job, he had just graduated culinary school, and I needed money for my prom(we are 4 years and change apart, sounds worse than it is) lol we became friends and SEVEN years later we went on our first date, totally didn't want to date my best friend. Luckily I moved to Florida for work and dodged that bullet, until I moved back. Lol we went to dinner the week I came back to New York and I fell head over heels. So our first and second date were a year apart!! We started officially dating a month after that. So all in all, 8 years before he became my boyfriend, 3 years after he's my fiancé. I'm marrying my best friend and loving it!!

Awww i just loved reading everyones stories!! My fh and I have a complicated/confusing beginning haha...
the short version- we met at work..
the long version- i worked at a party store and went away to school my first year... he started working there when i was away so i first met him in december of 2007 while i was home and working during christmas break... the only thing was, my work friend asked him out... she was afraid to go by herself so she asked me to go with her (the awkward third wheel)... they probably went out a few more times and i was there for every single one of them (basically i was the chaperone)... so anyway fast forward 2009... my friend was curious as to how he was doing so she had me message him on Facebook... i did and the same day later me and him hung out (i was confused and kept asking him if he wanted me to bring my friend.. he said no... but anyway we went to the movies and since he DIDNT pay, i didn't think anything of it)... after the movie we ended up talking in the car for hours and i knew then that i was in trouble.. we became official two weeks later.. and have been together for 5 years
