Thank you all so much for picking me as your new BOTW! You all have been an excellent resource and 'family' of sorts for me in the past four months since I joined LIW.
I hope you all have found my posts helpful as well and I hope that my questions will be as interesting as those we've had in the past!
Question of the Day:
What is one aspect of your wedding planning that has been really important to you even though you never thought (in a million years even!) that you would care about and it caught you by surprise?
My Answer:
I'd have to say that for me, I never 'in a million years' thought I would care so much about flowers. Generally, I'm not a flower lover. In fact, I don't like flowers at all - every time FH bought them for me, I'd say something like, 'don't bother, I'm allergic to most of them anyway!' But for me, when I go to a wedding, the CPs 'make' or 'break' the night for me. I know this sounds a bit ridiculous, but in my experience, I've found that the CPs/BoKs that you pick for your wedding are really your only chance at individuality - YOU get to pick the flowers that go in those CPs and BoKs, and you get to design them the way that you want them to look on your wedding day.
What about the rest of you?

For me the whole thing is very 'never in a million years' haha I was definitely not one of those girls who dreamed about my wedding, but now that I'm engaged it is all really important to me. I think the most surprising thing is probably the flowers, because flowers are a very girlyy thing which is not my personality, but now I look at is they totally set the mood and make the room colorful and alive which is sooo important.

making my fh happy too.....i know it sounds funny but i always want things my way. but through this whole wedding process i want my fh to be a part of it and wont do anyting w/o his approval. I am even walkin out to the ranger goal song (which i am not a sports person at all!!!) its just something that he reallly wants so i agreed to

Hey Lisa, thats an awesome question. I think for me, the invitations are the biggest thing so far that I never thought I would care about but I am so stuck on and just stressing out over! I remember everytime I would receive an invitation in the mail for a wedding, I would look over it and just put it in the drawer and not pay attention to it. But now I see how the invitations basically set the stage for the whole wedding. When I picked out my color schemes, I knew I wanted my invitations to reflect my colors. If i didnt pick just the right purple and green, theni t would throw off the rest of my colors in the room! And then the design..did I want something simple or something elegant! I must have gone through a dozen websites and catolgues looking at tons of invitations!!!! I have yet to pick one ha!

Right now for me its the color scheme. I love what I chose but I feel that others will hate my choice and try to push me to change it. I tend to try to please everyone so I look at options but still it is tough. Other obstacles have yet to come, but I know they'll be tough...

First it was the whole process itself
I never saw myself as the marrying type..but FH changed all that. I wasn't the little girl planning her dream wedding
So for awhile I had no idea what the heck I wanted
Now its all about balancing what I want a cool movie theme wedding but still maintaining some elegance.
