My FH & I were dead set on a wedding song for months now - 'Everything I do, I do It for You' by Bryan Adams.

However...

Yesterday I heard another song - one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard & immediately my mind changed... all of a sudden I knew that this song was 'THE ONE' All I could think of was my FH & I dancing to it and the tears were pouring down my face like waterworks. It was quite a moment I had

I made my FH sit & listen to it and he agreed that this song was 'the ONE' the words were unbelievable & the song just had so much emotion that never before have I ever imagined our first dance as clear as I did then. So my question is this..... What made you & your FH decide on your song?

ETA: Our new song is 'I belong to You' by Anastasia & Eros Ramazotti (italian singer)

We went back and forth for a few months. Then one day I got 'our song' in my head. I couldn't remember the name of it, who sang it - nothing except the one line that was repeating over and over in my head. Believe it or not, I googled the one line from the song, and it came up!!! I printed out the words, called FH and said I found the perfect song. He agreed.

My fiance is a police officer and called me one day while on patrol. When I answered my phone, he was screaming into the phone 'This is it! This is OUR song!'. So he played it and it was 'You are the best thing that ever happened to me' by Gladys Knight. My fiance is soooo anti mushy, so I was really touched that while driving in his patrol car, he was listening to love songs and picked that song. Now everyday that we are together in the car, he puts it on and smiles at me.

We have always listened to this song together since we dated about 3 days ago and we love it. My FH is a big Frank Sinatra fan so we knew it was the one-

We have a couple of songs in mind but have not found 'the one' yet. I'm hoping we do by the time our wedding comes around! Some of the one's we like include 'From This Moment' by Shania Twain, a song by Jim Brickman which I cannot find the title of right now, and 'I Love You Just the Way You Are' by Billy Joel.

Trying to get DH to make a decision is very hard so once he made it and I knew I could live with it I was fine. We never had a song that was ours. I also knew he wanted a classic rather than something contemporary. He liked Tony Bennett's version of 'Just the Way you Look Tonight.' It was performed at a very slow tempo and it was perfect for us!

We are using Tiny Dancer by Elton John because both love the movie almost famous and a lot of the lyrics make me think of our wedding (on the sand)

its been our song for years. i thought about changing it, but fh seemed dead set on it - Amazed by Lonestar - he really likes it and even bought me the cd years ago
