Do you call your FH's parents mom and dad..? Wil you start when you get married.?

No...I call them by their first names...I just feel like my parents deserve to be the only ones I call mom and dad.

no... after FMIL passed away around his family i called her mommy... that's what his family called her... and his father.. i just call him by his first name... maybe when we get married i'll call him dad... but we aren't close enuff to...

I just call them by their first names...I'd feel funny calling them mom and dad...plus I don't think my mom would want to share her title lol

No I think its disrespectful to my parents who are the best parents in the whole world to call other people 'mom & dad'.

Luckily FH's parents names are Rosemarie & Joseph. So I call them Ro & Joe. And when they give me cards etc they write Ro & Joe too

yeah, same here. i've always had trouble w/ what to call other people's parents (Mr & Mrs. ______ or what?) i just avoid calling them anything bc i feel uncomfortable with all of the options. maybe that'll change at some point w/ FMIL.

haha i do the same. i know one day ill call them mom and dad, but not yet. they're semi weird though, they never wrote love on my birthday cards until we got engaged, they always wrote fondley ( sooo weird)

I don't call them anything. LOL

I still address cards to them as 'Mr. & Mrs. ____', but they sign everything to me with their first names.

I feel wierd calling anyone other than my parents Mom & Dad.

That just reminded me that on my last b-day (before FH and I were engaged) his parents signed my card mom and dad. When I showed FH he was like 'they're old they just get confused' hehe
