Good morning, fellow brides-to-be! It's almost Friday!! whoohooo!!
Yesterday I was talking to my sister and she told me she is going to start planning my shower next week!! It is going to be a total surprise!
Question: Is your shower going to be a surprise or are you involved in the planning? If you are planning, tell us the details. If its a surprise, how would you plan it if you had your way?? Location, size, theme, etc.
my answer: I would love to have a backyard shower and have it catered by an Italian restaurant, eitehr Piccolo's or La Piazza. Lady and the Tramp is my favorite Disney movie, so I would make that the theme with red and white checkered table clothes and maybe an accordian player! hehe Not possible for me to have a backyard shower though, since the weddings in April the shower is during the winter...oh well!

My mom didn't give the option of letting my shower be a surprise, she just told me when it would be. Personally, I would have loved a surprise shower but it is what it is.
As for the planning aspect, I don't want to know anything, nor do I want to be involved. It's the one thing that I don't have to plan for this wedding and I'd like to keep it that way lol

ughhh shower!!
So my MOH said she was planning my shower and I was sooo excited about it! But then I found out she was planning it for October... and I'm getting married in May!
The only reason I foudn out was because my mom was b*tching about it to me... Im' like um you can' t do that! If she wants it to be a surprise then let her, but also... don't let it be that early. So my mom got all offended that I told her not to tell me about it, then my MOH was like um your mom doesn't like what i'm planning. I told her I don't care, do whatever you want but please not too early.
Also, because I live OOT and so do some of my girls, she wanted to do a combined Shower and Bach party, except again, my mom doesn't like that idea. But I don' tcare I think it works out great, BUT she thinks she should be invited ot hte Bach party.
Sorry but no... my mom thinks she's still 20 something and we just don't have that type of relationship I do NOT want her there, so my MOH who knows how crazy my mom is, said that I will need to be the one to tell her she can't come to both.
Lastly... I just realized that my wedding is going to be super small and so the shower is going to be even smaller, and now i feel dumb and unpopular.
AN YWAY, if I were the only planning it, we would have it like at a vineyard or someplace nice out east, where its really low key and relaxed. I'm not worried about silly games and stuff, just a place to hear marriage advice and tlak amongst the ladies... oh and get presents!

I had my shower in August and it was a COMPLETE SURPRISE! Everything about it was a surprise, especially since it was on a Friday Night!
My parents are currently planning mine, and I'm involved.

When and where it's going to be held is the main surprise. For the guests and theme, my sisters want my input.

It is going to be a complete surprise, though I don't know how my family and BMs will pull it off. I am very hard to surprise. I am assuming it will be in April or May and there are very few weekends I will be around. I'm also assuming it will be a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. A Saturday night would really throw me for a loop!

Mine will be a surprise however i gave her some ideas about stuff i like/ dislike. I feel like bridal showers are painfully boring and I don't mine to be like that.. So i just gave my mom some idea. I want mine to be something like a cocktail party.

It probably won't be a surprise. My family and FH suck at keeping secrets.
If it's up to me my bridal shower will be an Alice in Wonderland style tea party with lots of little treats and desserts.

I am trying to plan my entire shower becasue I am a control freak lol. But my mom and MOH i think have a few surprise up their selves. It is going to be a mad hatter tea party.

My shower is going to be a surprise. My mom has slipped on somethings though..I still cant get the date out of her though!! If I could plan I would have a brunch shower with lots of friends and family and lots of PINK!! I love the color
