yahhh one day closer to the weekend ladies!! and it looks like today the sun has decided to grace us with its presence once again!! lol

so here's Thursday's question of the day:

Who is in charge of the money/bank accounts/bills etc in your relationship? and does the other have regular availability to that?

my answer:
i'm im charge of the bills and accounts and all that...that is a roll that i cant help but take lol its a control thing and the FH fortunately has no prob with it cause he himself was never taught properly how to be with money lol so it works out... we have a joint account together but even his account i take care of too..i guess it just works for us

We have a joint account for all our shared bills that we each put the same amount into each week and we both have access to. Then we each have a seperate account for our own expenses like credit card bills, gym memberships, car insurance etc.

we have a joint account which is our wedding account that we pay bills for our vendors, and anything wedding related, but we pay our monthly bills from this account also. Then we both have separate accounts. Our separate accounts, however, have become more of a saving account since we are constantly using the joint one.

We still have separate accounts, but since like the third month of our relationship, I have been paying all of our bills and planning what money's where. I make a chart of what money we have and when bills are due so that FH can see it when he's curious...but in general, we both assume that we never have any money to spend FH is grateful...he wasn't very good at keeping on top of his bills and all. I'm happy to do it for us...except for last year when he must have had a moment and forgotten that I constantly access both of our bank accounts online, and he purchased my ring as a surprise Smoothe........

For now, we both have separate everything except our joint wedding account. After we are married, I'm sure that I'll be the one taking care of everything hahaha

I am in charge of the bills, money etc... I am also an accountant, so i guess it was an unspoken thing. I am also a control freak lol
and he doesn't even balance his checkbook - nor keep track of his $$ - he goesto the ATM and takes out $$ and checks the receipt and says.. mm that looks right! how the EFF does he know? lol

anyway - we ahve a joint account since we bought the hosue 2 years ago. we still have our own accounts for now, but $ goes into the joint acct every time we get paid. we also have a joint CC for the wedding stuff that has pts and hopefully we get enough for free plane tix for our HM!
BUT - we both have access to the account via debit cards and credit cards - and he will look at the statements when they come in and see if everythign looks kosher (make sure i m not stealing $$ i guess! )

thats our system and it has been working for the past few years!

we have a joint checking (mortgage, gas, groceries, utilities etc), joint saving (wedding or big house purchases), and then our own personal checking and savings.

Most of our bills are on automatic electronic pay but there have been a few times when both of us forget!

we both take onthe responsibility for the most part. SOmetimes I have to remind him we can't afford certain things!

We have only joint accounts. I take care of all of the bills, savings, allocation of fun money, etc. FH used to **** at taking care of his money so I took over and got him back on track!! He has all of the passwords to the accounts so he can have access to them as well, but we always tell each other if and when we want to take some money out or move it around in the accounts. It works for us!

I have my own checking account. same one Ive had since I was a kid and FH and I have a joint one where his direct deposit goes in etc. I transfer $ around to pay bills. And I control most of the $ and sometimes take all his away from him so he cant spend i8t on stupid things! lol

FH and I have a joint online savings account that's under my name. We're both accountants so we're very well aware of our money and we both have control over it. Although, i tend to spend more and FH tries to pay for my stuff and i tell him NO b/c we're not married and i dont want him paying for me not being able to control myself when i shop. We only need $ out of our joint to pay for wedding bills. We still have our own separate accounts and obv i have more bills b/c my shopping is out of control!! i love FH

FH does all the bills. He made a chart on the dry erase board.I prefer it that way ill spend it and i can never remember what has to get paid any way. we have a joint checking account and a savings account. he has an accountant degree so he likes numbers.

I'm an accounting major so I decided to tackle our finances as practice. I set up a system and we have a joint account that we manage all of our bills with. He does pay pretty close attention to the finances though so I think we work good as a team.

Me,myself and I. With all the accounts. FH can not do the money thing because he wasn't taught properly and has no concept that things don't clear right away so he had a tendency to overdraft. So yeah ill be taking care of all these things fun times.

We have a joint checking account that we are currently using for the wedding. We don't live together so we don't really have any mutual bills that we have to pay. We also have our own checking and savings accounts. FH and I have a joint credit card though that we use for basically anything that we do...lol my theory on credit cards is why not use them earn points/rewards for money that you are going to spend anyway as long as you can control your spending of course lol I usually am in charge of everything. I make sure the bills our joint cc gets paid on time, and I even make sure FH's stuff gets paid. However, I do have to give him credit he does make sure our cell phones get paid but that is only because the bill goes to his house lol

Me. I write the checks, make sure the bills are paid, and control putting money into our joint savings. He knows what is going on, but I'm just better with handling the money and fiances. It works for us.

We have a joint account along w/ our own accts. For our shared bills, he is in charge of them. But we still pay our separate bills on our own.
