hey ladies,

lesson planning last night was ridic....im really stressing, and i am seriously hoping that i should continue with this, bc if i should be a teacher, then im wasting my time

anywho, here is the QOTD:

So its obvious that if you are a member of LIW, you are kind of a wedding fanatic...you are an overplanner of sorts, and like to have everything done VERY early (we are all guilty of this )

what was the first piece of wedding planning that you did? how long did you do this planning after you got engaged?

i didnt book an RH or anything for that matter until 4 months after we were engaged. I liked that we had that period of time to JUST be engaged and not plan.

The first thing i did was look online at pics of cakes i had a huge folder saved before i had anything else. Although the funny part is that it ended up being the last vendor we booked. But first place to book was Rh

Reception halls.... and i think we looked at our first one 4 days after we got engaged!...I was clearly excited.

The first thing we booked was the Church and then the RH ..... we just wanted to make sure that the Church was available for our day !!!!!!! So the only thing that is not booked yet is our HM ..... it is a good thing !!!!!

The first thing we did was look at our reception hall we did this before we were 'officially' engaged.

We got engaged in August 07, September we got a joint savings account and planned our e-party which was October. We also had studio e-pics taken in October and began our RH search and I contacted my church.

the first thing we did was the book the reception hall, we only went to one place actually! then we did the photo and video

We got engaged Dec. 22nd...the first thing I did was look for a RH. I booked Fox Hollow Dec. 27th. I never realized how quickly I booked my hall. lol

had our thank you cards made up to send to people who bought us engagement gifts... (we created our own postcards) then i bought every bridal magazine available... lol i'm obsessed with modern bride! def my favorite!

RH... started looking 3 months later but didnt book until almost 4 months after that!!! Fh and I were too lazy and unmotivated we actually waited to save $$ for a deposit since then everything has been rolling along.... trying to get one thing done each month

to answer my own question (12 hours later):
the first thing i did was buy martha stewart brides mag (i bought it the next day!!)
but then we booked the RH about a month later

first booked the RH to secure a date and then made a b-line to book blue daisy for pics. that was the big priority all along.

ETA: most teachers who actually give a $hit feel at some point during student teaching like maybe it's not their calling. your doubts show you care. stick it out. it's a great profession!

The 1st thing we did was figure out what time of the year we wanted once we got that we looked at RH then we booked the church. We started looking at RH a week after we got engaged and had a place booked 3 weeks after we were engaged. :)
