lesson planning last night was ridic....im really stressing, and i am seriously hoping that i should continue with this, bc if i should be a teacher, then im wasting my time
anywho, here is the QOTD:
So its obvious that if you are a member of LIW, you are kind of a wedding fanatic...you are an overplanner of sorts, and like to have everything done VERY early (we are all guilty of this )
what was the first piece of wedding planning that you did? how long did you do this planning after you got engaged?

We started with the RH. That was the most important thing so that we had a date and could only plan other pieces with a date confirmed. We started looking for RH's two weeks after we got engaged and booked Hamlet Willow Creek the day after we saw it! Loved it!

Started looking for RH about 2 weeks after we got engaged... we had our final two and then chose Pleasantdale Château as our site.... Got engaged on 12/25 and we booked on 1/29....haha

Being from MI, I was so lost, but the first thing I did was start researching reception halls and I narrowed it down to 5 I believe and then started going on appointments. I believe we actually booked our RH 2 months after we got engaged.

we got engaged in january since FH was being deployed shortly after we didn't get much of anything done before he had to leave.
we were together for 4 days around easter so we flew to LI spent time with the family there and looked at the watermill the day after easter.... fell in love with it and booked it a few days later.
i'm working on invites now since i'm DIYing them i figured i should get the ball rolling this way they should be done by april
as soon as i know when we are going to be on LI again for sure i'm planning on making appointmentsto finish booking all our vendors then it will be all done except fot the little details

we drove 18 hours roundtrip the weekend after we got engaged to book our reception/ceremony site because we knew exactly where we wanted to have it and they were booking heavily for our month.

First thing we did was book a RH - then got a dress the same day! (first part with FH - 2nd w/o) fetl VERY productive but not as much since then!

My first piece of wedding planning was calling Leonard's and St. Joseph's to set up an appointment. I did this about 20 mins after being engaged...pretty bad lol. We were kind of on a time constraint since FH's parents were going to Italy for a whole month and we really wanted them involved in the process. But I still think if they weren't going anywhere I would have done it anyway.

First thing was looking at receptions - we started basically right after becoming engaged and booked our hall within a few weeks after being engaged!

We started looking at RH's about three weeks after getting engaged. Took us about 5 months of looking on and off to finally buckle down and decide. We decided on the RH the same day I found my dress!!

We are so guilty of early planning! We knew we were getting engaged and knew we were paying for the wedding oursleves, so we booked the RH before he acutally gave me the ring ... after the ring came (like two months later) we pretty much did alot of research and booked all the major vendors we wanted because its a holiday weekend ... all we need is the limos!!

Reception halls!! But we didn't start right away. We got engaged in November but didn't start looking until after the holidays...in January. A little over 5 months left of planning!!
