Where did your parents (or other family members close to you) get married? Are you trying to incorporate anything from their wedding into yours?

My parents got married in Germany because that's where they lived at the time.
Hmmm, ya know I haven't thought about what I would like to incorporate, but I definitely think I should incorporate something! Thanks for the idea!! :)

My parents got married in a park on LI. I might wear the same necklace my mom wore (it is also blue! but we want to try it on when I go for a dress fitting just in case it doesn't look good) and I am also carrying just a single rose instead of a bouquet like my mom.

we will be getting married at the same church as my parents and his parents. I am using the same wedding color my mom used with her BP.. other than that every thing else is FH and I ideas

My parents wedding song is 'I Only Have Eyes for you' and i think its a really nice song. I'm thinking I might have the band play it at some point for them! :) (Since they are throwing us the entire wedding! :)

My parents got married in MI, but I plan on having their wedding photo on my cake table along with FH's parent's wedding photo.

My parents had their reception at a hall that doesnt exsist anymore lolz...
I'm not really sure I'm going to incorporate anything from their wedding, at least nothing that I can think of right now...

My parents got married in the church I'll be married in. They had their reception at some German place in the Bronx and instead of a dj or band they had an accordian player! I will NOT be following that tradition. My mom wore flowers in her hair - I might want to do that.

My parents were married at St. Patrick's in Bayshore and reception at Hauppauge CC which is not HCC anymore. I am having my ceremony at St. Patrick's

My parents got married one month after meeting in my grandmothers backyard (only because they were forced to have a party)
They would have been fine with just the two of them showing up and getting married!
My mom wore daisies in her hair so I am trying to incorporate that!

my parents got married at the wattermill also well their reception was there the ceremony was at st. phillips and james.
once we get a photographer i'm going to take their wedding album and try to do some of the same posses they had 30 years ago

the reception hall my parents got married in closed and we aren't getting married in a church so nothing will really be like my parents wedding...
but the same year we get married it will be my parents 25th wedding anniversary and my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary so i'm sure i'll do something special for that !!

My parents were married in Queens. I wanted to wear my moms veil but it looks a little yellow. We are looking into a bagpiper outside the church after we are married and outside the RH as guests go in for the cocktail hour since my grandparents on my dads side were from Scotland. Plus we are going to have photos on the grand piano of all the grandparents and both of our parents on their wedding day to go next to the memorial candles for all of our grandparents.
