One of my exes got me massage oil and one of those little bowls to warm the oil in… except he wanted ME to use it on HIM!

Another ex got me a necklace with my name written in it in hieroglyphics when he went to Egypt… a nice thought but it was huge and gold and def not my style.

Wrost present I ever received was on Valentine's Day when my ex and I were on the verge of breaking up. I was hoping things might turn around being valentine's day and all well he showed up home with one of those $1 fake flower cheap thing. And said Happy Valentine's Day with a nasty smirk on his face. I took it out of his hands and smacked him with it... He deserved it!!

So far so good! (But that's because I've picked out pretty much every gift I've ever gotten. )

ETA: As far as someone else...an Ex and I played 20 questions so I could find out what my birthday present was going to be. He lead me to believe he was going to get me a kitten and then it turned out to be this hideous mexican statue of a cat.

Another Ex, when my birthday came around tried to switch gifts on me so that he didn't have to spend any money and in the long run he ended up getting nothing but a really bad card. Something like 'Hope your birthday is smooth sailing from here on out' with a boat on the front. We had been together for 2+ years and things were bad, and the card basically solidified we were going to break up.

Rain boots with lady bugs and skulls on them!!! FH knew I wanted rain boots and everyone calls me bug, which I'm sick of, so he thought the skulls would take the attention off the bugs....it was the thought right???

O wait and should we talk about the Tiffany's bracelet he got me for that same christmas that I wasn't crazy about and that FH accidentally threw in the garbage while cleaning up all the wrapping paper...we didn't realize it until a week later when I went to look for it to return it

i can't think of anything really off hand. except my past bday FH got me a pair of earrings that I am not thrilled with other than that everything is pretty good.

I say as Bride of the Week you should set the tone and ask whatever questions you want! I think you are doing a TERRIFIC job regardless!!!

as for an answer to your QOTD--I think the WORST present I ever got was a pair of tacky earrings from my first boyfriend. But, we were 18 so he probably didn't know any better!

one of my ex's for me this hideous ring...it was yellow gold ( which i dont wear) with the udly stone in the middle...but i grinned and beared it to be nice...but then he got me another yellow gold claddagh ring..again wore it to make him happy. Now that jewelry is sitting in my drawer..maybe i should sell them... FH has been good with gifts....but he's smart and just asks me what i want

Seriously i guess im lucky! I mean except for those umbrella & shoe cover things from my grams every now & again im pretty good. And now i miss those gifts from my grams. I actually always ended up using the umbrella's for the LIRR Platform. So funny.

my worst present was from a ex for my birthday. He had just been to Puerto Rico and brought me back a present. It was this cute little box, but pretty badly made and sort of cheap looking (like the sort of thing you would get from a sidewalk vendor). I thought the present was inside the box, so I try to pry the lid off (because the box was cheap it wouldn't come off easily), and when I opened the box there was nothing inside.... the present WAS the box!

I guess some guys just have bad taste. I received a pearl ring from his trip to Hawaii (totally not my style) and it was all banged up from the cheapo jeweler who put it together. The same ex gave me a Tiffany bracelet for our anniversary that he found in a hotel room when he was younger. That too was all banged up because it was used. Really romantic

Um, one of my exes gave me a gold necklace. It was YELLOW gold. I hate yellow gold and he knew this! So I had to wear it so I didn't make him feel bad. It was pretty too- it was a diamond heart. But it was just in yucky yellow gold!

ugh seriously i get something retarded once a year. Unless i tell FH exactly the brand name, color, style.....he will always mess it up! hahaha its pretty funny!

Fh always gets me good stuff but, I have to say I have gotten some bad gifts from ex-boyfriends. I just hate when they dont put thought into it.

I was really thinking about this for a long time and I couldnt remember one gift until now. On my birthday the first year we started dating (we had been dating for about a month) fh got me a bunch of random nice gifts and inside one of the gift bags was a small American flag. He said when he went to the card store the saleslady asked him who the card was for and when he said his gf she threw in the flag for free... Soooooooooooo random! But I still have the flag somewhere
