I know that as far as myself, I had certain ideas about what I wanted for our wedding when we got engaged. Since then, a few things have changed. So today's question is:
What has changed about your initial wedding 'vision' since you got engaged and started planning?

FH told me the other day he wants to change our colors, so I guess that's changing. Besides that, nothing yet

It's not on a beach in Jamacia LOL
FH and I really wanted to do a destination wedding and were thinking Jamaica since we had vacationed there and we absolutely loved it. Even while we were there we saw 2 couples get married on the beach at our resort and I remember thinking, 'that's exactly what I want'.
In reality, we knew we couldn't do it because we wanted to be able to include all our family and close friends and the majority of them would not have been able to make it if we did destination.

For me, the only thing that has gotten changed so far is music. I was set on a band, but my FH wanted a dj. We ended up doing a dj. I'm sure more things will change, though!

Two changes from my vision:
#1- wedding is not in Manhattan...and I'm ok with that
#2- my dress is completely different than anything i would ever think I would pick! and i loveeee her!

My original 'vision' was just a really nice dinner with our closest family and friends. Mom nixed that quick. Then I wanted a big clambake under a tent. Also nixed. So now I am having a big wedding at a hall, which was never part of the plan. So I guess my entire vision changed to someone elses

colors! i thought i was set on my colors, and then a few weeks into planning i completely changed them...and love them!
besides that, i don't think a ton has changed...but i'm sure as i get closer my answer will be different lol

Nothing has really changed. I just didn't know where i was going to have it and now I do. I also thought i wanted a gown with pick-ups instead i went with an A-line

When we first go engaged I hated the idea of orange being one of my colors.....but now my colors are orange and fuchsia and i'm ok with it. They actually work well together.

i originally was going to have all my BMs in different dresses, that coordinated.
9 girls??
Not anymore. They will all be in the same dress.

EVERYTHING!!
All my life i envisoned having this big wedding; with friends; family; goregous dress...well flash forward twenty some odd year laters when it's really happeneing. I was trying to plan this big wedding but having a mortgage; care note; insurance student loans etc. I got slapped in the face with the reality of costs and what we can really afford.
So now; we've cut our list; doing a daytime event; and rethinking almost every aspect of what i had in my mind originally!

1. My colors. I originally wanted berry but that got shot down. So I went with my favorite color, lavender.
2. My dress. I thought the mermaid/trumpet style would look great on me. Boy was I wrong!! Still looking but at least I know now!

well. we got married before the wedding at town hall and have told really no one but our parents. I had no choice, as I need health insurance. I'm hoping it doesn't take away from our day. I don't think it will but sometimes I can't help but get that feeling.

I was in the wedding industry for years so of course I always imagined certain things for my wedding. Now that I'm planning reality is I don't have the money for it all and if I don't have everything I wanted, thats okay. I'm already having an outrageous wedding just by having it where I am so I am happy with just that fact that i am having it at the location of my choice even if I don't have the other little things I wanted.

At first I wanted a Grecian style wedding, but that style dress did not look good on me Other than that, I think the only things that have changed were my colors.
