Good morning lovely brides? My girlfriends and I are always taking about names. What our names mean, what we are going to name our future children, pets etc.So I thought today's question could be all about names.

Do you know why your parents picked your name?

Do you have future names picked out for your children and why those names? or what are your children's name and why?

My parents were dead set on Jennifer and then the week I was born my parents saw a movie and the lead actress was named Dana and my mom fell in love she said it was a perfect combination of their names Diane and David

For a girl we like Siena Spring. Siena because fh went to college there and he loves it so much its kind of sick and then one day we were driving by it and we said Siena for a girl name prefect!!! it also might be the color of my bridesmaid dresses (totally coincidence) Spring is going to be my maiden name.


For a boy he will be a junior.. William Victor.

Morning Girls!

June: It was my grandma's name - she passed away a year before I was born. It's become a family name - it is my Aunt's name also and I have 2 cousins that have it as their middle name.

For a daughter, I love Samantha Grace - I just love the name Samantha and Grace was my other grandma's name. I think it has a nice ring to it. FH hates it though - I have my work cut out for me on this one!

As for a boy, I'd love to name him after FH, but he doesn't like that idea either! I'm 0-2!!!

My name is Angela and my parents named me Angela b/c I was their liitle Angel!! LOL!! They just liked the name.
I currently have a son who is 3 and his name is Jayden, but once again I just liked the name and apparently so did most of America b/c there are a million Jayden's. Oh Well.

My name is Jennifer, and my parents couldn't decide between a few names, and th day I was born my name was top choice of the week..LOL

For a boy, we're thinking Giuseppe or Giovanni (my FH's whole family is from Italy), so we could call him Gio (prounounced G-eeyo) for short.

For a girl, we're thinking Giuliana or Serena (We like girls names that end in an A).

I am Jennifer Reeves.

I was named for my fathers cousin Jenny Reeves. Reeves is also my Grandma's last name.

As for children's names...
If it is a girl her first intial will be L (FH's nanny) and her middle will be P (my mom's mom). (in the Jewish relgion, FH is jewish, you use the first letter of someone who is/was important to you). A boy will start with a C (for my stepfather) and I am not sure of a middle name though.

my first name is Jennifer..radomnly picked...middle name I Joy after my maternal grandmother..in turn my brother is Michael with a middle name Ivan after my paternal grandfather..see a pattern?

now..I wanted to keep that pattern but my dad said not to because then i'd have to use his name which is Branko (pronounced Bronco). i would but he said not too so...I wont. But I will for my girl....God willing...after discussion with my fh..years ago cuz we're dorks...here it is

Kayla Michele (I have ALWAYS loved the name Kayla so that was an easy pick...and michele is my moms name)

Roran Shea (got Roran from a book we read and fell in love with...Rory for short which could be a boy or girls name..and Shea....need I explain?)

My name is Janee` ( pronounced Juh-Nay)..everyone always says it wrong..LOL My Aunt originally liked the name but she had a boy, so my mom thought it was so unique and asked if she could use it.

For a girl..I have so many, but my favorite is -Nicolina Rose. Nicolina after Fh's Grandma and Rose after my Grandma.

For a boy.. Anthony Michael. Anthony, after FH and Michael after my brother.

my daughter i named Calista (means most beautiful ) Marie
I just wanted her to have something different since i knew 500000000000000000 michelle's growing up.
pronounced Ka lee sta not Ka list a(as in flockheart) i swear if 1 more person asks me that i'll scream.

it's funny cause she will correct people now she's like MY NAME IS NOT KALISTA IT'S KALEESTA .

god help me when shes a teenager shes going to be such a handfull.

Ok so my Name is Deborah Lynn and my parents chose that name because that was my fathers sisters name and she passed away when she was 4 so my father really wanted that and he asked my grandparents if it was ok and they were honored.
My daughters name is Alexis at first i didnt like it but then i was like 9 months preggers and it just sounded right and thats thename we finally chose her middle name is marie just cuz i liked the way it sounded together.
And my son is a junior after his father. There was no argueeing there.

My parents wanted to name me after my great grandma, Bette. But I think the story is they picked out a few names that started with a B, Bette included, put them in a hat and chose one. Bonnie won. I'm Bonnie.

For children, we've talked about it a couple of times but we haven't found names yet we both like. I think we'll be more interested in choosing them when we're ready to name our first child

my name is Kristy I dont think my parents picked it for any special reason they just liked the name my middle name is Lee after one of my aunts.

my baby girl name is Rhiannon Mary.....me and FH picked that out years ago we love the name and we love Stevie Nicks the middle name Mary was my great grandmas name

for a boy we are using Joseph not sure of middle name yet....the reason is before my grandpa passed away I promised him I would name my 1st son after him so Joseph it is which works good because FH's father is Joseph as well as both of my grandfathers


other boys names I like but FH doesnt are Brayden and Collin and Seth.

So..Yes, my name is Jennifer- My mom didnt want to know if I was a boy or a girl but she was CONVINCED I was going to be a boy so they were going to name me Kevin- my fathers name. On the way to the hospital they thought maybe they should pick a girls name just in case so they picked either Heather or Brittany. Then I was born and they picked Jennifer...lol

FH and I arent planning on having children so I cant really answer the rest of the question but I do have to say i've thought about it in the past- names that is- and for a girl I would definitely love the name Autumn- of course only if she was born from sept-nov. hahaha

My name is Nicole.. My mom liked the name a lot and basically went behind my dad's back to give it to me! They had decided to name me Jannifer and at the last minute my mom TOLD my dad I will be named Nicole! Funny enough people call me Jennifer by accident all the time now! Apparently I look like a Jennifer!

We like Lucas a lot for a boy....I love the name Joseph but FH is not a fan so I have to work a little harder to convince him of that one!

I like Cailin a lot for a girl but we have other girls names we are keeping secret until the time comes!

My name is Jamie and it was picked because my dad was James.

I have a bunch picked out just can't narrow any down

for a boy which FH is 100% that is what we will be having first lol, it will be Anthony James. Anthony is FH's name and James my dads. Maybe AJ for short not sure how I feel about it yet.

My future yorkies name will be coco I just think it's soo cute. I have had the name picked out for a while. FH is getting me a puppy as a wedding present!

My parents whne they had me didnt have the option to know if it was a boy or a girl so my parents assumed i was a boy because well they already had 2 girls. Plus my mom said she wasnt carrying the same as she did with my sisters & so when i was another girl they were not really prepared & they liked the name Vicki & thats what i got lol.

Our future children will be:

DeAnna Rose (De part is firts part of Fh's Mom & anna is the end of my mom)
Gavin Joseph or Anthony Carl.

FH and I sometimes talk names for our children. I have always liked the name Alexis for a girl, he likes it too. For a boy, we never agree, so I think we will probably name him Jason Michael (after FH). I like JJ as a nickname so cute!

That's a good question... I actually have no idea where my name came from.

Our names both start with K so we were thinking about keeping the K with our children.

For a we both really like Kiera or Kyle for a ... but after that we don't have any other K names we like so we'd better hope we have one of each!

My name is Aimee. My mom loved the name Amy (Amy was a popular name in the early 80s I think), but my dad hated it because he thought it was too plain so they changed it to Aimee.

As for kids names:

I like the name Elana
I like the name Logan

Oh I love this post. Well all my first cousin's names start with J....so my Mom was going to break that with my sister, because she was supposed to be a boy lol! And she was going to be Mark Anthony but she is Jennifer Anne instead. Well I was supposed to be a boy also and I was going to be named Jesse Leigh. So my name is Jessica Leigh! lol!

I am marrying a J also. His name is Jordan. So we thought it would be cute to keep the J's going. So for a boy we like Jake (Jacob) and for a girl we like Jocelyn, Jaden, Jada, or Jade. However my dream has always been to name my first boy Tristan but FH hates that name so I guess I won't be able to have it

But we could always incorporate it as a middle name! I love playing with names! Good question!
