Good morning lovely brides? My girlfriends and I are always taking about names. What our names mean, what we are going to name our future children, pets etc.So I thought today's question could be all about names.
Do you know why your parents picked your name?
Do you have future names picked out for your children and why those names? or what are your children's name and why?

My parents were dead set on Jennifer and then the week I was born my parents saw a movie and the lead actress was named Dana and my mom fell in love she said it was a perfect combination of their names Diane and David
For a girl we like Siena Spring. Siena because fh went to college there and he loves it so much its kind of sick and then one day we were driving by it and we said Siena for a girl name prefect!!! it also might be the color of my bridesmaid dresses (totally coincidence) Spring is going to be my maiden name.
For a boy he will be a junior.. William Victor. .

My name is Kelly Ann. Kelly was my moms maiden name and my Grandpa didn't have any sons so she though t it would be a nice way to carry on her Dads name. Ann is for my Grandmother's Mom. Annie.
I don't have any idea as far as names go. Neither does FH.

My name is Christina and my mom said she loved the name ever since she was a little girl and always knew she was going to name her daughter that.
I have a son and his name is Devon. I liked the name and it isn't too common. Plus it's the only name me and his father would agree on.
Future kids.... Girl- I like Dylan or Jayda Boy.... ???? Don't know yet

Do you know why your parents picked your name? My parents picked Michele because it's the feminine form of the name Michael which is my Dad's name.
Do you have future names picked out for your children and why those names? or what are your children's name and why? We always throw names back and forth. I like Jack Daniel McCann for a boy. But my Mom said it would sound like he comes from a family of alkies.

morning!!
i'm not sure why my name was picked, but i know why my middle name is Laura, its after my grandmother.. my and my 3 sisters all have middle names for family members.
Amy LYN for madlyn my grandmother Allison LAURA Andrea Lee for leeanne my aunt Alicia ANNE for leeanne my aunt
for kids names, i would like to name my first daughter Madlyn Audrey. its my grandmothers name. for a boy, not sure about first names but middle names will be Lyons, FMIL's maiden name. FH, FBIL and FH's nephew all have that as their middle name. a nice way to keep her name somewhere because she uses her maiden name now...

My name is Aimee. My mom loved the name Amy (Amy was a popular name in the early 80s I think), but my dad hated it because he thought it was too plain so they changed it to Aimee.
As for kids names:
I like the name Elana I like the name Logan
FH LOOOOOOVES the name Logan!!! mostly because it reminds him of wolverine from XMen.. HAHA and people have called him that before when his hair gets a little long and he needs to shave!!

well I Know my dad wanted to name me Melanie, but he picked my older brothers name so he didnt have a say lol. My mom really loved the name Melissa. I dont think there wasspecial meaning behind it she just liked the name
for our kiddies.... I have to convince FH a little more for the girls name but this is what I like

hahha I want samantha to and FH hates it. He said he wants no daughter of his being called Sam. And then he told me if people call our house and ask for sam hes gonna say sorry noone named sam lives here..

Well my name is Gabriela ... I should have been named Daniella but my mom and her friend were preggers at the same time so her friend gave birth first and stole my mom's favorite name! lol So I ened up being Gabriela, the second runner up. .. also, my parents were off the boat at the time and the nurses didnt speak italian so they spelled it the spanish way, with only one L instead of two (which is more traditionally the italian spelling).
As for our baby names, this is so hard!! I love Emma Grace for a girl and for a boy I love Enzo. But we will see

i was named victoria after my grandfather victor who died 6 months before i was born.
either me or my cousin, who ever has kids first, will have to pick a name beginning with an S because our grandmother died this year.

My name is Chantelle. My dad actually picked it out. He had heard it a little while before I was born and loved it, so when I turned out to be a girl, thats what they named me! It means 'song' in French. I love it because its different but hated it when I was little because I could never get my name on pencils at the store like my sister could
For my kids, I want: Thalia Rose (Rose after my grandma and great-grandma) Nathaniel Edward (Edward after my boyfriends dad who passed away)

My name was supposed to be michelle or christina (my dad's name is christopher). My mom met one of my aunt's co-workers and her name was sachia (pronounced say-sha) and that is where I got my name from. I have a son name Jared, my grandfather told me to give my child a name with meaning, something they could live up to. I gave my son a biblical name which means ruler.

I don't think there was any specific reason why my parents named me Vanessa. I think they just liked it.
We have had some trouble coming up with names we both like but so far FH and I have agreed on... Dominic Joseph Ella Elizabeth

Hey girls
My name is also Melissa and my middle name is Kate. The funny thing is that while my whole family calls me Melissa my FH has called me Kate for years. Sort of started as a joke but it stuck. Sometimes when we around people my Fh hasn't met yet and he calls me Kate people are looking around like 'who's kate'.
My FH always talk about future children's names. We never agree, he only likes names he can associate with someone he already knows.

I was suppose to be Evelyn, but my dad chose Ilona. He was actually reading the newspaper and there was a story of a missing child and her name was Ilona (i know it's weird way to pick a name) , i guess he loved the name so much he persuaded my mom. I'm glad he picked Ilona instead of Evelyn.

My middle name ( Taylor) was supposed to be my first name but then they heard Ashley somewhere and liked it. So they named me Ashley Taylor...i love my name :)
For my future children..i don't know...we can't agree but i looove the name Sophia..but it's becoming quite popular. I also like the name Luciana but my fh hates it.
For a boy i loooove the name Colin...i'm dead set on it haha

my mom picked my name because of the show the Thorn Birds..there was a character named Meggie on the show..and she loved it...so the rest is history.
as for us:
Shane Patrick FH likes the name Shane & Pat is my father's middle name...
I've always been i love with the name Hayley...but after finding out my FH's great grand mother's name was Sadie...i fell in love..so we'll see

Joanna- My grandmothers name was Josephine Ann and they thought Joanna was a nice combo of that.
I like the names Nathan and Natalie/Natalia.. I don't know why.. but I just do.
