QOTD- What is the 'sappiest' 'chickiest' flick you've ever forced your fh to sit through?
I really don't bother...I think maybe Much Ado About Nothing...I once TRIED to get him to watch the Bridges of Madison County...he refused to sit in the same ROOM with me LOL
everything else, he just uses that as 'nap' time LOL. I NEVER force him to go to the movies for that kind of stuff....if he's going to hate it, I'd rather not be made miserable too!
anyway, I ask b/c tonight we may go see our first and only true 'date' flick AT the movies, Failure to Launch!

I would say the 'Titanic'...poor thing had like 5 cigarette breaks during this 2 1/2 hour movie...but this was at the beginning of our relationship so he would do ANYTHING for me...now, he'll agree to watch a chick flick with me but will doze off 15 minutes into the movie...ahhh....men....

I don't force him to do anything he doesn't want to do, if he wants to watch it that's cool, otherwise I'll watch it with my mom, a friend, or by myself.
I guess the 'chickiest' flick we watched together was 'The Notebook', he fell asleep tho. And I was disappointed by it after reading the book, thought it was going to be better.

Well since I've gone with him to see such cinematic wonders as 'Walking Tall' with The Rock (remember that movie? No? No one else does either!!), he'll pretty much watch anything with me because he knows I'll watch all the movies he likes with him. If I have to pick one, it would probably be 'Under the Tuscan Sun'.

OMG that's right! we went to see Titanic the night it came out...NO ONE was in the theatre, I remember that- it didn't blow up until a week later.

Autumn in New York - w/Richard Gere & Winona Ryder. I was actually able to get him to go see it in the movies and he HATED it! He still brings it up once in while!

Chicago - in the movie theater - not even in the comfort of our own home. He snored so loud that I had to wake him several times.....just like I do when he makes me see Star Wars at midnight.

for the person that did maid in manhattan....the only good thing about that movie was Ralph Fiennes, he is a hottie.
i made my FH watch 'gone with the wind'; it is my all time favourite movie, so i wanted him to see it. i thought he wouldnt like it, b/c it is 4 hours long and an old movie etc. but he liked it b/c of the history aspect. since he isnt american, he was interested in watching a movie about the civil war and wound up knowing more history than i did about it!

wow FH and i saw titanic at the beginning of the relationship too. How long have you guys been together?
i swear i saw fh crying during this movie but he denies it now. he was so pissed when the movie was over... he thought it was all rose's fault that jack dies...'she should have listened to him and got on the boat, then he would have been able to float on the raft.' lol

Pride & Prejudice, he complained but then towards the end wanted to know what was going to happen and kept begging me to tell him. I read the book in HS.
