For me it was when I was 16 and worked in a fried chicken place. People could be so rude sometimes. But you gotta start somewhere, right?

When I was 14, I got a summer job with the Police Athletic League. Oh, but I wasn't teaching kids how to play lacrosse or anything. No, I was selling coupons door to door for $5, a portion of which benefitted PAL. How does one sell coupons door to door in the summer heat? Not well, that's how

OK mine is super-embarrassing.

I a dancer for a DJ company...wore those ugly tuxedo-looking outfits and encouraged the crowd to dance. OMG I can't even believe I'm admitting it!

When I was 15 I worked as a telemarketer for chimney cleaning! It was depressing being hung up on so much but the money wasn't bad, especially to a 15 yr. old.

I had the exact same job!!! You're from Floral Park, right? Me too. I dont remember the name of the company, but I only lasted 3 days - couldnt sell a thing.

I worked at Dunkin Donuts too! Or, D&D as I started to call it. I upgraded to Starbucks my senior year though

It's a tie between Old Navy and the job I had getting donations for the Missing Children's fund. With the last one you only got paid if you got donations. Talk about panhandleing!

Definitely wasn't fun for me! It always felt so forced.

Re: QOTD: What is the worst job you ever had?

A place called Tequila Jacks. I had to pay for parking and then I had to pay for the ferry (I was told I'd be given a pass, but never got one). The working conditions were horrible; middle of the summer and not even so much as a fan, there were flies everywhere and dirty water all over the floors and my first day I spent 5 hours pulling tarragon leaves off of the stems. I worked for three days and couldn't take it any more. I never got paid, so I actually ended up LOSING money because of the ferry and parking fees. Makes me mad to even think about it.
