QOTD-What made you love where you are getting married/having reception.
I'll start. I was really into the idea of a LI wedding -- like at a Flowerfield. But, FI and I have had a very NYC relationship and life so he pushed and won me over to NYC venue. We saw a number but chose the Puck because it is the really unique space which combines the openness and airiness of a loft, with the appearance of a historical downtown building. As Fi says, our guests will be constantly reminded that they are at a NYC wedding.

I really loved the outside, and the reception hall is really nice. Plus all I've heard are great things about Meadow Club - and the price is right!!I ideally would have had it at one of the mansions (Vanderbilt or Oheka) but I think we would have been saving for the next 10 years

When I saw the place I just loved it. They have only one wedding at a time. When they showed us pictures how the hall looks at nite, I was sold for a late afternoon wedding

the simple but not over the top chandeliers and the oil paintings on the walls, also the cocktail room, but most is the town of medford which is an old colonial town, all small shops, and everything well kept.

We went to a wedding there about 8 years ago and I just loved it since then! It was bright and open (which I like) and has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Great South Bay... The food is amazing, service is great and the price was right!!!

I've always imagined a getting married on a beach or under a gazebo just off the water. The Riviera was the first place we went to and none of the others compared for us. It has a warm rustic feel to it. Weather permitting, we will have the ceremony under the gazebo with the water in the background, the cocktail hour will hopefully be outside right off the water. And then, of course, the backdrop for the reception is - you guessed it - the water! Come on, Mother Nature - work with me here!

Ooooohhhh- I really wanted a Manhattan wedding because I live there, but with the size of our wedding it was ridulously expensive. So since the both of us love the beach (its is where we met) we choose a place on the beach.

Giorgio's ws so pretty! The room looked amazing and the dance floor has plenty of space (important for a dancing family!). The food was amazing and the grounds were beautiful too.I just got the feeling when I walked in that I could see myself in my wedding gown there. I'm very happy with my choice!

I fell in love with decor. When you walk in you see a giant fire place and piano it was very welcoming. I like having that feeling like your at your home and not at a constitutionalized place. Plus only one wedding at a time. But most of all good food.

I fell inlove even BEFORE we walked in! The drive up to the mansion is gorgeous, trees hanging over the drive, etc, then you drive up through those huge gates and see the fountain. It was absolutely stunning! This is a picture of the road, but on a crappy day in the winter, but you can get an idea. Then a picture of the gates and the front of the mansion, again on a crappy winter day, still pretty, though. And since we're getting married in July, I'm sure it will be much greener and prettier

I love sailing with my parents on the LI sound so I am excited that my wedding is at a site we sail past every time I visit. I also love that we are the only wedding and no one I know ever got married there. Oh, and the outside cocktail hour overlooking the bay and the bridges. So many reasons- the price helped too!!!!!

I just fell in love with the whole great gatsby era feel of the place. It was small enough that my small amount of guests wouldn't look cheezy and the place would not be too big. I was really worried that we would take up a small corner of one the big places and then we would look like we had no friends.
I loved the decor or lack of it.. The place didn't need anything in it to be perfect the old architecture did enough... Plus the food sounded great. Can't wait for the tasting
