I wanted to be a lawyer too!!! Or a teacher. My mom told me that once when we were at a restaurant the waitress was really nice and so for weeks I told everyone that I wanted to be a waitress.

I had a top 3 : I wanted to be either a vet, a lawyer, or a detective. Now, I'm a lawyer who occasionally does pro bono animal law work (so I get to help animals without going to med school!) and I've also gotten to do on-site investigations which sort of counts as detective work

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist or work in theater. I chose the second and got a degree and worked for 2 1/2 years off-broadway as an electrician!!! It was great!!

Now, I am a NYC middle school teacher, so at times I am a police officer, just without the gun.
I am also a lawyer, judge, Doctor, zoo keeper, therapist, referee, drill sergeant, entertainer, babysitter, parent, and the most recently, a firefighter. It all comes with working here in the Bronx. But I wouldn't want it any other way, except I would want a bigger paycheck and a smaller commute.

I wanted to be a psychiatrist when I was very little. Then ever since I turned 9 I wanted to be on the radio!

This is going to sound awful...but my mother always tells me how I used to tell her that I wanted to be rich when I grew up...it hasn't quite worked out!

I didn't have as big aspirations as some of you. When I was very little I wanted to be a 'diner girl' (waitress). And then when I was around 10 I wanted to be a bank teller.
