QOTD: How has your image of your wedding changed from when you were a little girl to the reality of 'now'? What did you dream about having as opposed to what you are currently planning?

Hi girls! I haven't post anything in so long. Been very busy with my new job!
When I was little I told my mom I wanted my wedding to be at Mcdonalds! Lol. My mother and father still bring it up.

When i was a little girl i knew i wanted a big wedding in a church with my dad walking me down the aisle now not so much..LOL I am not getting married in a church and i will be walking down alone..

I have to say I never pictured or envisioned my wedding growing up. I guess I was more of a tomboy when I was little and didn't give it too much thought as I got older.

OMG when i was little I used to be hooked on Watching a Wedding Story on TLC. Well i never thought i would be having the wedding I am having. I pictured something small & less expensive but always wanted a huge wedding ball gown, not too sure if i want that same gown now but we'll see. I haven't gone dress shopping yet.

When I was younger, I ALWASYS imagined that I would find my 'hunny' in High School or even college. I just imagined that I would be definitely married by 22. I remember flipping through magazines and cutting out items I wanted to have at my wedding. I would make little collages of them...makes me wish I still had them!! Would be such a kick to see those all these years later!

My family went to a counsin's wedding at Gurney's Inn in Montauk when I was a baby. My family vacations there every year so the location means a lot to me, and the adults that went to the wedding still bring it up almost everytime we pass it and how beautiful it was. So I've almost always wanted my wedding there.
When I was in college they finally finished the new St. Therese church and it is *stunning* and that solidified my want to get married in Montauk.
But when I got engaged, the idea of the wedding in Montauk, though we entertained the idea briefly, we reailzed it was unrealistic due to various reasons. (mostly the cost if it becoming a destination wedding)
I used to think I would want everything classic/traditional but I'm definitely adding a modern touch to it all. And then opposite for the dress, I want something timeless with lace!

I always wanted that whole Cinderalla fairytale wedding. Doesn't seem like that will happen but I'm happy with the way things are planned now.

I always thought I'd be getting married in Saint Mary Gate of Heaven, my childhood parish, but things have changed a lot since then!

I was gonna get married on a pirate ship in a white bikini dress, instead of a first kiss fh and i would walk the plank!!!
my MOM will never let me live this down. I'll bet all the money in the world that she will wrestle a microphone from our MC at the wedding to tell everyone this story for the hundreth time.

I thought I would get married in a church with my dad walking me down the aisle. Now I am getting married in my RH with a friend who has been like a dad to me. I also thought I would get married way younger with some hot guy I would meet in high school.

I never really planned my wedding out except the church since it's the one I grew up in. So nothing has changed for me.

I never really pictured mine either. I alwas said I was never getting married or having any kids...my parents make fun of me all the time but I'm so happy we're getting married and I can't picture my life without our son

I always thought I was going to have that Cinderella Royal Wedding. I'm still marrying my 'prince' but just in my own way
