QTOD: September 15th

Hi girls,

I'm so sorry that this is a late QOTD. My school restricts access to LIW, so I couldnt post earlier.

Anywho,

What is the one thing that you remember from a wedding that you went to? What is the one thing that you hope your guests will remember?

Have a nice rest of the day!!!

I tend to remember not so great things...like if food is sub-par, or music is bad. Like the 'make sure we don't have THAT' type of things. A good thing I remember though is my sister's Viennese at Chateau Briand. That was sick!

I hope our guests remember our wedding for having great food, clever decor, and that we're happy and in love

I always remember the food. If it was great or if it was yuck! In our families (FH & MYSELF) that is the NUMBER 1 thing. lol lol

So i hope for our wedding everyone remembers how awesome the food was & how gorgeous & fun it was!

always the music.. i love to dance and have fun. so every wedding i go to its what i judge!!

but with mine, i hope people enjoy the ceremony, the priest who is the celebrant is a friend of mine and everytime he talks about my wedding he makes me cry! i hope people there can feel how excited we are to be married and leave thinking, 'i am so happy for ally and patrick'

and of course i hope the food and music is good too!!!!

I agree...I tend to remember the things I didn't like such as the hair that was on my appetizer.

Good things that I remember - cry packs. I've only been to one wedding that had them and I thought it was quite unique.

I want our guest to leave feeling like it was different than any other wedding that they've been to and hopefully in a good way.

Re: QTOD: September 15th

Last wedding I went to was my FSIL and so many little things stood out - that the groom's brother sang a U2 song to them at the ceremony, that they did a hand tieing ceremony and used pieces of her mothers and his mothers dress to make the tie they used, flip flops at the reception. I think the most memorable part was that they got married on her grandparents 62nd anniversary. She made them a cake with all pics of them through out their life. she had them come up and cut their cake and take pics adn then she cut her cake right next to them - not a dry eye in the house!!

I would like people to remember that they enjoyed themselves - good food and that we got married at sunset which is so important to us. FH proposed at sunset

same for me.. i always remember the food and the music ... I went to a wedding last friday and the bride has a thing for cupcakes and instead of a wedding cake they had a whole table of cupcakes going up like a cake ... each guest got a whole cupcake instead of a wedding cake slice ... i thought that was original and unique so I think i will always remember that

One thing I will never forget is the garter toss at a family friend's wedding. The Groom was on the floor shifting through the Bride's tulle skirt and kept finding the weirest object. We are all laughing so hard.

I hope guests remember the decor and food and how wonderful I look! (Sorry- got conceited there for a second )

I can't even count the last wedding I went to as a wedding. It was very conservative. NO drinks, NO music, NO dancing and the food wasn't good, lol. My sister's was the one before that.. One thing I loved about hers was all the add-ons at the cocktail hour.. there were like 10 stations of different foods- seafood bar (in a boat), mexican station, order pasta station.. soooo many. I loved it. And there was a sick bridal suite.

I hope my guests remember good food, good music, good drinks and a happy bride & groom!

i forgot to answer my own question!:

the most coolest thing i remember about a wedding..was the suffolk county emerald society came to play their bagpipes for like 15 minutes!! also, at that wedding, we got coffee and krispy kremes as we were leaving

i want my guests to remember how much me and FH are in love and the food--

From my friends wedding two years ago I remember her grandpa sdancing and singing to 'Let's get Retarded.'

I don't remember much from my friends wedding last year - it went by so fast and was such a blur! Ooh I remember being really nervous when we had to walk in for the introductions since I was a BM!

I remember really dumb things.

The music, the food and the brides wedding dress stand out the most for me.

I LOVE seeing a unique wedding dress.

my cousin wendi's wedding is my favorite of any one i've ever been to. it was @ capt bills, which is a pretty room with these high ceilings. she had full bottles of red wine in ivory organza bags as favors on the tables, and it looked incredibly elegant. i remember her cake really vividly too, which was white with deep red roses tumbling down. my cake will actually be something similar with a totally different color scheme.

for my wedding, i really hope it captures the essence of one of those summer nights you don't forget. not so much one thing, but an overall feeling.
