Queens Brides....

I know this has been posted before but I can't find the thread. So....Where in Queens can I have a Bridal Shower that has modern decor and/or a lounge type ambiance? I know Astoria has lots of lounge type places, but I have no idea which places are good as far as food and service. I have to set mostly everything up for my Bridal Shower since both my MOH's are students and live out of state. The guest list will probably be around 50.

Indigo is really nice and the food is good.
They have a room upstairs that you can use and they also have an outside area in the back.

Are you hoping to stay in Astoria or are you open to different places in Queens?

Cascarinos in College Point and Bayside both have party rooms. I've been to a baby shower at Verdi's in Whitestone that was great. There are lots of places on Bell Blvd that are nice.

the place i had mine was a lounge and all white decor and stuff but ahhh its closed now. They let too many young ppl in on weekend nights and got in trouble lol

Try cavo, ammos and central for your shower, they are all modern and not your typical looking type place. Theres also l'incontro, they have a separate room now that is the wine bar and i think they do parties in there

ive eaten there quite a few times and the food is always delicious. They are a bit pricier though than most places for a shower or event like that, but you never know see if they will work with you on the price.

you can try Island in Astoria, it was closed for a long time but just re-opened this past weekend. They do parties there, also I hear Cavo is good. Grand Cafe has a party room but I'm not sure if it's any good for parties.

There are also a few places in whitestone/bayside, Verdi's, Caffe on the Green, Gino's Trattoria, Il Vesuvio(on 12th avenue)

Yea this weekend my brother told me he went, he said they have emergecy exit signs everywhere and they added some other stuff to make it safer on the 2nd floor -- I guess they weren't following some fire/emergency codes....It's so pretty in there.

oh ok now i understand, yeah there were no exits on the 2nd floor. My shower was on the 2nd floor. I did love it, i have to say they picked a perfect place. It was funny bc i had recommended it to someone searching in queens before my shower and i said if i could i would like it at island bc i love the decor lol so it was funny that it ended up being there since i didnt even tell my family or moh anything, just said it on here.

I had mine at Verdi's in Whitestone loved it (but its not louNGe like!)

Cafe 14 Below in Whitestone is a new cafe and lounge..nice feel to it and the owner is a sweetheart

Plumm in Bayside on Bell is really a nice looking lounge...

there is a new Tapas and Wine bar on Bell next to Casscarino's forget the name..its really beautiful inside I went there a cple weeks ago and had a great time (didnt eat though lol) .the upstairs to Casscarino's on Bell has a lounge type feel to it also

I'll keep thinking....HTH

I had my rehersal dinner at Il Vesuvio..while it is a GREAT resturant the rehearsal wasnt so great..I dont think they are used to doing parties the food took a long time (although it was good) the service was slow.
