Anastasia's Gift Shop on Northern Blvd & 194th Street in Flushing. She has beautiful things. I've been going to her for years!! Got my invites, favors, place card holders, place cards, calligraphy, and programs through her.

Re: Queens girls - invitation help
I went to Blue Tulip in Glendale (Shops at Atlas Park). THey have a lot of really nice books, and the lady we saw was very helpful... THEN we went to party city, a co-worker told me they had a lof book. The 3 party cities we went to had only Birchcraft and Carlston Craft books. AND Actually.. one of the books at the party city in Bayside ( I think they have the best selection out of the three we went to)was one we looked at in Blue Tulip. The good thing that sold me on Party city was all of their invitations were 30% off the book price and 20% off the inserts

Re: Queens girls - invitation help
If you just want to look at invitations, I'd say Party City. I went to the one in the Stop & Shop shopping center on Grand Avenue in Maspeth. No one bothered me, I was able to look at all the books at my leisure to get an idea of what I wanted. I went 2 times because there are so many books it's overwhelming. They had both Carlson Craft and Birchcraft books. You can get an idea of the quality of cardstock and envelopes too.

Re: Queens girls - invitation help
Thanks girls. I went to Party City in Bayside last night and was overwhelmed by all the books and choices!! Did anyone ever actually order their invitations from Party City? The sales people weren't too helpful but the books say that Party City gets 30% off manufacturer's prices?? I'm so confused with this invitation stuff! Do most people order online? From a store??
