Question 2

Question 2

What do you think about porn?
What (if any) would you consider to be a 'healthy' appreciation for it?
What about a married father of two who has an extensive collection of it?

Ummm..... is this a trick question?

I'm basically against it.. but sometimes it's so stupid you have to laugh at it. I call it neurotic instead of erotic in most cases.

Bascially, I think porn is wrong.. that's not to say that I haven't owned some in the past or looked at playboy online.

An extensive collection isn't good.. because he should see his wife as his lover.. and the kids just shouldn't see it period.

Now I have a question for you.. does the same apply to strip clubs.. which is more wrong to you.. bad English I know.... a bunch of videotapes in the closet or a real life lap-dance? I eagerly await your responses.

I don't think that porn is that bad actually. The problem occurs when the person watching the porn is more interested in watching it than doing anything with their partner.

That or so interested they'll force themselves onto someone to reinact it.

I don't find Porn bad. It does get so stupid you have to laugh. I do find that some hard core porn is insane (animals, midgets, etc) I can understand the original intent of it and Im alright with that.

A father of 2 having an extensive collection? As long as his sex life is healthy and she has no problems with it, who cares? Its the same as having auto Magazines or every episode of soap operas or every smut book out there (Romance novels).

Personally speaking... my dear beloved father of 2 (me and my bro) and 3 adopted (2boys & a girl) has a healthy appreciation for porn. So healthy we (my older brother and I) find ourselves constantly cleaning out his computer of spyware!

Frankly my only opinion is 'GO DAD!' at 52 if he's still that interested and active.. well damn.. how can I knock him? He's not hurting anyone. The stuff isnt easy for the boys (the twins) to get to and even so, Im sure Dad will be embarassed and have to 'explain' what its about. Im sure he'll find out the kids probably know about sex than he does and they DON'T have porn!!!

heh
It's just sex (not that other funky stuff)

Personally I don't like or dislike however I find it a little weird for a father of two to have an extensive collection.. I don't know call me old fashion but i don't like to put father/sex or porn in the same sentence.

Understandable.

My family is very open about sex and the fact that yes, it happens. I used to be grossed about the idea of my father (who wasnt a small man) having sex at ALL!!! Now, I just know he's a happy man. I may disagree with him being married to a woman he hates and is an Ice Queen and that he finds alternate sources, but then again, he is happy.

I don't think it's exactly right for the father to flaunt it in front of small children who don't understand. My father never speaks of it until his computer dies and he calls ONLY my brother and I who tease him endlessly about the porn on his computer.

My father, brother and I are really close though. There are no secrets, no lies, no false images. I love that about us. We can talk about anything, such as my father's colonoscopy. Which was funny as hell! I felt no shame or embarrassement calling my Dad about my close call with cancer and the byopsies I had to take. He had no problem hanging out in an OB/GYN office. My brother calls about his back issues and we all talk about (used to) my grandfather's prostate cancer. Nothing is off limits.

It's an ongoing fact, however, that if you get to know any of the three of us too well, we will start to feel too comfortable and start talking about this stuff with you around. When Jim had Thanksgiving dinner once with my family and my father started to tease me about sexual preferences.. I think Jim turned to stone.. Poor baby. Now he realizes it's just how we tease eachother.

Not everyone has that kind of relationship and honestly there are times I wish we had more privacy, but I wouldnt change a thing. I don't see any harm in knowing too much about my Dad's preferences.. I take it as part of him. Men have sex and think of it a lot, my father is a normal red-blooded man, I'd be worried if he didn't. I can see, however, how other family units may not want to know about Daddy's little stash of porn.

Bring it up. Talk it out. I had to when I got tired of play messenger for one of my father's girlfriends.

I don't know if this is your father or not, but I think communication is always key.

I agree.

I also think that porn is more FUNNY than Sexy.

I don't understand how talking about your fathers health problems (no matter what part of the body they pertain to) has to do with porn? thats great that you have good communication with your father, but talking about health problems and talking about the newest porn movie coming out is 2 totally different things.

Re: Question 2

We talk I mean don't get me wrong, When they thought I had ovarian cancer, we talked. We talked about my sister's pregnancy so it is not really that I can't communicate I personally find that talking to my dad about his sex life with my mother is a little disturbing, or if i found that they had porn it would gross me out, It is not that I can't communicate I just choose to keep that private, If he ever asked me a personal question about my sex preference or anything I would probably throw up!

Please do not misunderstand My father is very concerned about all aspects of my life my health included but he really isn't intrested in what gets me off and for that I am Grateful, my whole family is close I just don't care what they do in there room nor do I care to know!

Ok, wait..I lost myself apparently

Simplify

Its just sex
We dont talk about what floats our boats.
We dont ask if we got some last night
We dont talk about who had better sex with who
We dont don't ask what the favorite position is (unless we're joking)
But sex is sex.. it's not different from anything else to us.. its a normal part of life.

Porn is just like Auto Magazines in our house..
who cares?

there are degrees...

its not wrong to watch every once in awhile
