Question 2

Re: Question 2

I don't think much about porn, but I guess it is okay and a healthy appreciation of it is one that does not negatively affect any aspect of your life or your marriage.

I think its okay for a father of two to have an extensive collection as long as his wife knew about it all along and was okay with it. I don't know what I would think about a man who got married, had a couple of kids, and then suddenly felt the need to collect a lot of porn. That would seem a bit strange to me.

Re: Question 2

teasing about prefrence at thanksgiving in front of my Fi is definitely a BIG NO in my book. Even if it wasn't thanksgiving I personally would be grossed out BUT I am also a very private person and I am also that person who gets embarassed even for others so like I said I am old fashion.

What about a married father of two who has an extensive collection of it?

I really dont see what one had to do with the other. I know a father of 2 who has an extensive collection...its actually a joke amongst friends. HE is a great dad who loves his kids and his wife. He provides for his family and to the best of my knowledge is in a very happy marriage.

I dont think that having/likeing porn makes you any less/more of a parent.

Unless you are really obsessed and neglecting your family, or the kids have access to the porn.

I'll agree with that.
Porn shouldnt hurt the family unit.

hrmm
I agree it shouldnt be flaunted (I guess)
Even my father never talks about it unless it's killed his computer and even then it's 'That other stuff'
But holding back secrets or lying are must more offensive in my family.

*shrug* JMHO

I think porn is ok for a couple to watch together....
we watch it and laugh and critique the cheesy background music! If and when we watch it..it lasts for all of 5 minutes.....

I think FHs' idea of porn is me hanging out in my sweats and cleaning

Agree! What i don't like is the internet porn with girls who look 15! Who tf is taking these pictures???
Porn is the biggest business in America. it takes in more $$$ than drugs! Fh likes it, but he loves me more which is important! i'll worry when he likes it more than me!

I don't think it's appropriate to have an extensive collection with kids in the household. Hopefuly it's not on the computer. If the kids go on the computer and there are porn pop ups and stuff that is exposing them to something that they should not be exposed to. I work w/ computers and hate when I see this...some sleazy guy and his kids telling me that that 'lady icon'thing keeps popping up...I wanna puke! Get rid of the extensive collection , maybe a movie and a few mags well hidden if you have kids that could be exposed to that earlier than you want them to be.
