My bridemaids are wearing a bright blue long dress and I told them to get a silver sandal ( my wedding is in august so I thought sandals were ok). My mom says that they must get the soes dyed to match the dress.
I thought silver would look nice with the blue.
Any opinions on what they should wear?
Thanks :)

Re: question about bridesmaids shoes
My girls are wearing silver shoes.... if they get them dyed then the girls would probably never get to wear them again!!!

Re: question about bridesmaids shoes
silver would look very nice... they don't need to get shoes dyed to match.
Actually for my friends' fall wedding, we wore this cranberry color, long dresses, and she told us to wear any shoe we want in gold. Honestly, you couldn't even see our shoes.

Re: question about bridesmaids shoes
go w/ silver for a couple of reasons:
(1) the dyed shoes are pretty much a 1 shot wear time deal & if they are wearing them in a hot month 0 they will sweat in them & the dye will run on their feet...ew.
(2) silver is classic & goes w/ ANY color dress & can be used/worn for many occasions after the wedding - this was one of the reasons I told my girls I wanted them to have silver shoes b/c I didnt want them getting stuck w/ a pair of palm beach coral shoes they were never ever going to wear again.
(3) to be honest - dyed-to-the dress is so 1980's...I just think you & your girls will be happiest wearing something they can use over & over once the wedding has come & gone!
