So I'm ordering my dress online from chic bridal, a seller on ebay and it says If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the largest measurement of your body first, as well as the style you're ordering, then determine which measurements would be easier to alter.
My measurements are 32, 28 and 37. I don't fall in an exact measurement.
I would order a 10 and have it altered. Otherwise your going to fall short in the waist. So with the 4 you may fit your bust and hips but the waist is too small.

What size do you normally wear?
In street clothes I wear 4.

I was going to suggest this also - you need to cover what your 'biggest' measurement is - according to that chart - your waist measurement is closest to a ten - better to be too big in some places and have to be taken in than too small!

Re: Question about dress measurements
Thank You all, I'm so confused. I don't want to order a size that's going to be huge on me and than having to spend tons on alterations.

Re: Question about dress measurements
T - I know it's a pain, but why don't you go to a bridal salon and try on a couple of dresses just so you have more of an idea of how a wedding dress will fit. Just a thought...

Re: Question about dress measurements
did u take your measurements yourself or did you have a seamstress take them?

Re: Question about dress measurements
I think you should go with either the 8 or 10..I'm usually a size 2 or 4. When I ordered my dress, it was the first time I was measured by a professional...They ordered me a size 8 since my waist is 28'
The mentality is that it's easier and less expensive to have the dress taken in than to have the dress expanded.
Good luck!

Re: Question about dress measurements
if you took the measurements yourself, i would suggest having a seamstress take them instead. i know i was off when i took them myself as opposed to when the seamstress took them. if your waist measurement remains the same, i would suggest ordering a size 8. my seamstress said that alot of people often times cannot meet the waist measurement in a size, and therefore have to go a few sizes up. Good luck!

Re: Question about dress measurements
you should go with the 10- based on your biggest measurement.

Re: Question about dress measurements
I am usually a 2 or 4 and a bridesmaide dress I just got was a size 8. I think things run different. I had to have it altered, but not much.

Thanks, that's what I did. It's too big in the chest area but otherwise it fits almost perfectly..

I'm usually a 2/4 also and the Bridal Salon ordered a 6 for me which came in and it's HUGE! So I definitely think it depends on the style of the dress.

Those are my measurements! After months of dieting and exercise But I would order the 8- you really don't want it to be too tight in the waist. Its very easy to take in the chest or add cups to make bigger.
