I am trying to figure out how to word my engagement announcements. I would like to try to make them instead of ordering them from a printer. We don’t have an exact date set yet so we can’t include a “save the date”. Anyone have any suggestions????? Thanks

Re: Question about Engagement Announcements
I just sent mine out today we ordered them from a printer it went like this
It's Official!
Connie Sanseverino is announcing the engagement of her daughter
Gloria Michelle Sanseverino to John W. Alexander
A date has been set! 06/24/06
Short and sweet. It only has my mom's name because my FH's mom passed away & we both don't speak to our fathers

Re: Question about Engagement Announcements
I didn't put anything about the date!
The front had a pic of cinderella's castle at dusk and said 'when you wish upon a star...'
and the inside said
'Your dreams come true!
Miss Mary Moon And Mr. FH
Happily Announce their engagement At Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom January 10, 2004'
I was thinking of putting 'A December 2006 wedding is being planned' but I left it out You don't need a wedding date. this is about your ngagement, a celebration in itself!

Re: Question about Engagement Announcements
We don't have a date yet.
This is not the final but you get the idea.
We made it using Microsoft Publisher and they are being printed on 4 x 6 glossy card stock.
I ordered 500 of them for $102 at Printing for Less (with $25 off coupon).Printingforless.com
ETA - the final card we made is 96 MB since we used about 9 pictures but I was able to compress it (zipped it) to about 58 MB and upload to the printingforless.com site.

Re: Question about Engagement Announcements
be careful with exact dates for annoucements - i would put fall 2005 or summer 2005 - it makes it less likely that someone would rob your house on your day

Re: Question about Engagement Announcements
Thanks. It really is not difficult. We took digital pics that morning and used some others we previously had taken w/ a regular camera. I scanned them at 300 dpi.
