We are in the process of finalizing our ceremony details (we are getting married and having our reception at the same site - no church) and I am wondering if you girls had your officiants at your rehearsals the night before.
Our officiant is saying that most couples do not have their officiant there (if we do have her there we have to pay her) - she said they are usually run by the banquet manager or maitre'd??
Thanks in advance for your opinions / experience with this.

Re: Question about officiant at rehearsal
i believe its customary to invite the officiant to the rehersal dinner....9 times out of 10 they will decline, but its proper etiquette to invite them

Re: Question about officiant at rehearsal
I am getting married at my hall too, and I am not having a rehersal (honestly, there's nothing that hard to remember). Most people just meet with the officiant a few weeks before or call them.
