this may be a really dumb question but i really have no idea...I dont have a passport but i need one for my honeymoon...If u have to order your passport early how will it be changed to my married name if im not married yet? isnt it not valid if you have your maiden name on it? tia

You will not have changed anything to your married name before your HM.
You can change it after you get back, when you change everything else.

Very annoying. I am definitely not looking forward to changing my name on things!!! And, no problem!
You can apply for a passport now and just request a change later now. If it is less than a yr- there is no charge. If more than a yr you will have to pay a fee.

you dont really need to change it only if you want to
my sister never changed hers, but she has other ID and its never been a problem; she went to mexico in february and it was fine

you dont get your marriage license back until a few months after the wedding ( it is signed by you two, two witnesses and the officiant the day of the wedding then submitted) so you cant change anything until then
do everything in your maiden name!! make sure you book the hotel, flight etc. in your maiden name!
my travel agent put a special note on my reservation at Sandals to refer to us as 'mr and mrs i. . . . .' other than that everything is in my maiden name!
