Question about registering for shower gifts.....

We are getting married in April and my shower is sometime in Feb....I am sure my sis will send out the invites sometime in Jan. Do you think its okay if I wait to register until after Christmas?

There is just no time before Thanksgiving for us to do this and I am not doing it during the holiday season. What do you think? Am I cutting it too close? I realize I might have some changes once we come back from the store but I am sure people wont buy anything until the date of the shower gets closer.

I registered early b/c FMIL wanted us too...We got a few e-ngagement gifts off of it...and there is a Picture frame missing now...LOL..

I would do it early rather then late...do it in Sept?

I have had the unpleasant experience of ALWAYS buying a duplicate gift.

So now, as soon as I know that there is an e-party, or shower, I immediately start looking for the registry and purchasing gifts...

And, I am SURE that you will have people who want to shop off of your registry for holiday gifts..
