Question about Tuxes

Hi Ladies,
I'm finally starting to get a lot done, so sorry in advance about the tons of questions I'll be asking.

FH and I went to Dante Zeller today to look at tuxes. They will order 2 in FH's size and two different vest/tie combos to try on in a week. This is the only place we went to. I heard somewhere on here that Men's Wearhouse doesn't let you try on at all? Is that correct?

We need to use a big chain because we live in Brooklyn, and have family all over. Are those the only two large chains? Is it normal to only be able to try on two?

Thanks in advance,
shari

My Husband went to MW today, and tried on!!!! We're in Lancaster, Pa. Debi went with them, because of guys living all over the place. Mary MOB

Thank you Mary!
I wonder if I'm imagining hearing that you aren't allowed to try on at MW?

Re: Question about Tuxes

Just so you know, it is common courtesy for any tux place to measure someone for another store. We had our RB measured at a Tux place in Florida and they gave the measurements to his mother so that we could hand them in to your tux place here.

If you find a tux at another store all you have to do is ask the GMs to be measured at any store.

Re: Question about Tuxes

we're having gm from all over in the party but are using a local dealer for our tuxes. we didn't want to deal with the 'you can't try on anything' and be limited in our choices. we mailed out envelopes from the tux place that had a form for the information they needed (measurements, deposit, etc.) so the guys just have to get measured and pop it back in the mail. very easy.
