When buying wedding rings, who is supposed to pay for what? If my ring costs more than FH's, does that mean he pays for mine and I pay for his? Or do we split the total cost 50/50? Or do I pay for my own and he pays for his own?

actually, while the price difference is not THAT extreme, we're a bit similar... FH's band did cost more than mine. we both wanted relatively simple platinum bands, and of course, his shouldn't be as narrow as mine!

thats what we did too. FH paid for them all when I picked out me E ring.

Here's what we did........
FI bought my 'fancy' ring (the one with the diamonds in it) and his plain, everyday ring
I am buying my FI's 'fancy' ring (again, the one with the diamonds in it) and my plain ring.
The only reason we have 2 rings each is my fault.........the line of work I'm getting into..... I didn't want to walk into a prison with all this bling on my hand so I wanted to have a 'plain' white gold band to wear. He jumped on the bandwagon when he saw the Tungston ring.
But I agree with the other girls...........when all is said and done...........it's really OUR money so it's no difference.
