FH is driving me crazy! He doesn't clean anything, not a thing! We tried to solve this problem by hiring a cleaning lady, which has been great until recently. We canceled the cleaning lady in order to save the $200/month. I begged and pleaded for new bedroom furniture...FH said in order to get the new furniture we had to cancel the cleaning lady- wedding and brand new living room and bedroom- it just wasn't financially savvy to have both
anyway, im home all day cleaning -- thanks to my brilliant idea to take the cleaning ladys position lol, I hate cleaning!!!
FH thinks every woman out there keeps their home in tip top sparkly clean shape, all on their own with no help from the man...
So now for the question...
Does YOUR FH clean?

FH cleans but only when he feels like it. Mostly, I do the cleaning and he does the yardwork

i do the cleaning the only time he will pitch in is when we have company come over.
he cooks i clean i cook i clean.
Same here! Only time he will do anything is help if we have company otherwise he doesnt lift a finger. I'm going on strike! I blame the way he was raised!!

He's funny. He's not terrible, but he's really bad with leaving stuff in the sink and piles of papers everywhere. He won't do much until I give him a what-for and then, he's like the cat-in-the-hat and cleans the whole darn place...except the bathroom of course. Haven't figured out how to get him to do that yet!

wow i'm shocked and impressed! i'm almost tempted to show this to FH to give him a reality check!
we've been living together for about 2 1/2 years now...and cleaning is probably the only thing we bicker about...the cleaning lady solved it...but I think after today it's going to be an issue again...
the only thing he does is take the trash out
I tried everythinggg ladies...I bought a little chore schedule awhile back- 3 different kinds!!! none of them worked!

we split it but i usually have to remind him/tell him. i do the laundry and he does the dishes. then we split up the cleaning of certain rooms on the weekends.

my FH is such an effin SLOB and im totally anal about the house being neat and clean so this is one of our biggest fights!!! When he gets undressed at night he kicks the clothes under the bed, the shed i will not even walk into because i will prob have a heart attack, he never ever cleans up aftr himself he constantly leaves dirty cups in the bedroom and when he shaves forget it the hair is everywhere and he just leaves it i cld go on and on!!! We fight about this a lot because i work 40hours a week and have a 4yr old daughter plus do everything arnd the house while he just comes home and relaxes ughhhhhhhhh

We both clean, but I clean better lol. He 'man cleans' as I call it, and I 'Argentian clean' which is like, serious sanitation. He will help with dishes, cleaning the kitchen after I cook, make the bed, etc. But I prefer to the bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, floors, etc. because I feel I thoroughly do it. We have a cleaning lady who comes once every other week to reallllly clean.

He didn't help me when we first moved in together and I don't have enough time to do as much as I feel like the apartment needs so we have a cleaning lady...

then it should be 50/50
how about........u pick the kitchen, and have him do the bathroom??
that way hes responsible for 1 room.
thats what we do... but after hes done 'cleaning' the bathroom i have to go back in there and REALLY clean.. but the bathub he does a great job. everythign else.. nuh uh
but im lucky cuz hes great. he cleans up after me sometimes. but he also gets home at 4.. i get home at 8 or 9 some nights.
its a give n take.

MY FH will call me and saying 'I am cleaning... no really I am move from one spot to another ...' he think that cleaning but in the middle of this sooo called * moving/cleaning * process, he becomes lay and it just lazy out
I tell him this sh*t will stop when we live together lol

I can totally understand your frustrations. That has actually been a HUGE problem between us lately. He is home 2 days @ a time and NEVER cleans unless I ask him. It drives me crazy that he cant take it upon himself to see that the kitchen table is covered in his papers, etc and just straighten it up. The only things he does on his own w/out my begging is washing the dishes (we dont have a dishwasher) and washing the clothes (but he wont put them away when they come out of the dryer! he leaves them in the bag)
