Question about your FH's first name...

My FH is Dave, short for David. NOBODY calls him David, but technically, it IS his name, so when putting names on favor tags, etc, do I put 'Lisa& Dave'? Or Lisa & David??

FH says Dave, but he's a guy, so I'm asking you lovlies.

I'm Heather and FH is Tim (Timothy) but I think for the sake of being a little more formal everything will say Timothy (like favor tags, unity candle, etc).

If it's an invite I'd put David, if it's favor tags (something informal) then Dave is fine..

FH usually called Dan... we are using Daniel on everything for the wedding.

I am doing his full name on the invite but everywhere else the more common name

Thanks girls!! Looks like Dave for everything other than invotes/Ceremony. That's what I was leaning towards.

my FH is Steven but he always goes by Steve

I put Steven on eveyrthing for the wedding just to be a little more formal.

Nobody calls FH 'Daniel' so I had all our monograms made with 'Jillian & Dan' and most of our stuff says Dan. But on our invitations, I put his full name 'Daniel Patrick O'Connor' as well as my full name.

im a sucky situation with that also. my FH real name is Richard, but NOONE calls him that and and his nick name is not Rich, or Richie, its something completely different no where near the name richard (his younger brother started calling him a random name when he was a toddler and it has stuck) people dont even know who Richard is... on the STDs im going to use his nick name, and on the invitation im putting putting Richard but in quotes his nick name' i honestly think some of his family doesnt even know his real name. When we say the I do's i also dont want to say I take you Richard, becuase it just doesnt feel right.
