Bridal Reflections holds the dress for you. You can go see it, but you don't try it on or have a first fitting until 6 weeks before.

At the Bridal Reflections in Manhattan, I was told to come right in and try it on way before my first fitting. Maybe it's different at different BRs. I would have insisted on seeing it otherwise.

Question about your wedding dress.. - Long Island Weddings

Hmm, that is strange to me. IMO, you should be able to go and see your dress and make sure everything is correct. I got my dress in Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. They hold my dress at their location and they told me when my dress arrived that I could come in anytime to see it, try it on, take photos, etc. I didn't have to wait until my 1st fitting. But I guess each salon is different. If you really wanted to see it though I would ask again.

Question about your wedding dress.. - Long Island Weddings

I am a pronovias bride as well and to my knowledge you don't get to go try it on until your first fitting. I am concerned about this too and also... Did they tell you that you only get two fittings? Everyone is telling me that three is the norm

Idk how many fittings I get actually.. all i know is the date of my first fitting and that's it.

I'm worried because I read that Pronovias won't do any dramatic alterations to your gown because it is offensive to the designer. My dress (Uceda) is gorgeous, but I want more of a sweetheart neckline, I bought my own belt to be sewn into the dress, and i want to take all but one layer of tulle out of the gown, and possibly have them make it more fitted. I'm scared they will say no to the alterations I want =/

Really!! Well if you're paying for the cost of alterations they should do whatever you, the bride wants. i saw a pronovias dress I love but it's not sweetheart so in my head I was like oh they can just put that in! but now i'm thinking uh-oh! lol

Question about your wedding dress..

I actually called my bridal salon and the told me the dress will be in sept 16! I asked if I could see it they said typically no but since they did not have a sample in the store when I ordered they said its fine too see it ( I tried it on at another salon and compared everyone to that one, so I bought it there bc they beat the price

Re: Question about your wedding dress..

Stoooooopppppp....we are dress twins! I got Uceda too!!!! I'm slightly obsessed with our dress! Lol

Sarah was my sales person and she assured me I could do whatever I wanted. I was thinking of possibly having the pieces above the sweetheart removed and she said anything I want.

You should give them a call just to be sure.

OMGGGG that is amazing!!!! yeah I thought about getting rid of those pieces as well, but if you google jessica simpson's wedding dress her's has those pieces with a deeper sweetheart and it looks really good. I think if I make the sweetheart I will like those pieces. I can't believe we got the same dress though lol that is so funny
