I ask this because just about everyone in my family is. My mother is obs/comp about her weight. I would say she weighs herself at least 5 times a day. She says she has to maintain her 'optimal' weight and freaks if she is 1lb over. Now, my dad, who inspired me to ask this question, is an obs/comp CLEAN FREAK. He borrowed my car this morning (which, btw, kept me from going to the beach ) and he was so upset at how dirty it was that he came home and immediately washed it! He's such a weirdo! But I would say my obs/comp is I am a perfectionist. Everything has to be done PERFECTLY. But I even find myself lining up silverware sometimes. Nothing too extreme, but I just thought it was interesting to see how OC my family is!

I'm obsessive compulsive about pretty much everything !! (j/k) Definately some of the stuff already mentioned, but since we moved it's definately about having the bed made. It makes a big difference coming home to a neat apartment!

i am obsessive about a lot of things. i check numerous times before i leave to go out that the doors are locked. i have to make sure the alarm is set for the morning a couple of times before i can fall asleep and i have to have the t.v. on to fall asleep.

I am a CLEAN FREAK too. I also have to change the roll of toilet paper so it rolls under. If hubby puts it on wrong...I have to change it

I am about driving I guess since it panics me. I have to take the same route to work every day. There are different ways to go and I will never turn down a different block or go a different way. And if I have to for some reason..I freak out! Everyone always teases me about this!
ETA: My husband is obsessed with the water hose! Everything else around him can be falling apart but as long as he has watered down the front and the back...the world is a safe place.

I always clean my kitchen, I cant stand when it gets messy. I am laughing how you girls keep your checking accounts perfect (FH is like that too), and my idea of balancing my check book is 'I have $250 out in checks and $400 in the account, so it wont bounce'. FH does not know that I dont balance my book to the penny, wait until we mix finances! That will drive him nuts!

I am a clen freak too. I can't sleep unless evrything is cleaned and neat in the room I am sleeping in. Even the bed sheets need to be straight and neat.

I can't go to sleep if the closet doors or dresser drawers are open either.
Valerie - I am the same way with the checkbook. I cannot remember the last time I balanced my account. Dh always knows, to the penny, how much is in the account. He'll even say there's $262 in checking but theres a $47 check outstanding..LOL Needless to say he writes most of the checks and I have a personal account for my spending money.

Christine, I will be doing the same thing you will be doing. Letting FH handle the finances after we get married. I will be making more (and spending more), but he will make sure the bills go out on time, I go online the day before its due and pay it!

Valerie - you are my financial twin...LOL I do the same thing, I wait until I get that email that says your payment is do now.
DH would never pay a bill online. He needs to write the check as soon as the bill comes in and then mail it from the post office (not a regular mail box on the corner).

OMG, check me off for the closet and door OCD! I cannot sleep if my closet is open. It just makes me feel funny inside to look at it and I think about it if I try to be lazy and not shut it!

I used to be that way about my bedroom door also, but then I moved into a studio where I had no doors. That took a while to get used to
