Question for all Channa Plaque owners

I just received my Channa Plaque in the mail today. It appears as though the 'face' of the sign is a large 'sticker-like' material that was placed over the wood as well as little strips around the edges. BUT what bothers me is you can CLEARLY see the wood underneath at the top, bottom and sides of the 'face' sticker. Is this how they are all made of is there something not right with mine? I didn't expect to be able to see the wood around all the edges. I though it would've been painted or covered, but it basically looks like a 'frame' of wood all around the front. I'm very unhappy. Do yours look like this too? Can you see any wood? TIA

Question for all Channa Plaque owners

Mine is the same way. I was a little upset at first because the wood totally clashes with our charcoal gray plaque and black writing, but I just figured that's how she does it and I got over it. I don't think it's ideal and have considered filling in the wood myself with black marker but I'm gonna wait till after the wedding to play around with it.

Mine has the frame around the edges too. I wasn't thrilled at first, but I'm ok with it now.

Question for all Channa Plaque owners

My writing is a sticker, but I have to admit I didn't/don't notice the border, maybe because the main background color is a neutral tan color?

Question for all Channa Plaque owners

Like 2013 bride I have a light color so it looks good.

The background color that she uses does not go all the way to the edge, maybe there is about a 2mm edge of the wood color. Also, all sides are painted but the edges/corners have the 2mm of wood showing. If you look at some of her darker samples you can see it.

I feel the same way...I did a neutral greenish tan and it seems to blend fine with the wood. I am sure the color makes a big difference in appearance.

Here's mine.

I think everyone is talking about that wood border that she doesn't put paint on.. you can see it in mine right here. It doesn't bother me, but maybe you just simply have to ask that she paints that part?

This is the same as mine - I have a navy background so you definitely notice it.

Re: Question for all Channa Plaque owners

This is mine. You can see the wood frame between the front and the sides. Not sure why she does it that way. In my opinion it would be better all painted. As I said before the wood kind of clashes with my color scheme but I got over it.
