FH and I love classic rock as well as any other type of music. However, we want only music you can dance to at our wedding. What are some good classic rock songs that you can dance to? Why is trying to think for yourself so hard sometimes?
Thanks

We like alot of classic rock also. We are going to make a list of songs that are too slow or not good for dancing to be played during dinner since I ahte typical dinner music.

When I think of classic rock dance songs, I always think of the Boardy Barn (even though I've only been there twice). Here are some ideas that may spark other ideas...
Sweet Home Alabama The Joker Sweet Caroline Bye Bye Miss American Pie Only the Good Die Young Me and Julio Cocaine Magic Carpet Ride American Woman The Piano Man Foxy Lady Hotel California Break on Through Kung Foo Fighting Call Me Al etc.

As I mentioned before, I attended a wedding this past weekend, and they played a lot of rock. Surprisingly, everyone was up and dancing. The songs I can remember....

Re: Question for Classic Rock listeners..
hey, we have the same exact problem. In fact, we picked a DJ specifically because he promised he could play danceable songs that we would like.
try: Shout (you know you make me wanna..) 10,00 maniacs (do they count as CR already?) Janis Joplin, esp. Bobby McGee Rolling stones, esp. satisfaction Hooked on a feeling Another Van Morrison - Monndance (a little slwer though) If you like that sort of thing there is always Paradise by the Dashboard Light
trying to think...

Don't forget Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Who, Rolling Stones, Doors, Pink Floyd. . .you can also listen to 104.3 for a while and see what they play too.

We played the un'danceable' stuff softly during dinner instead of Jazz.
