Question for couples that are living together...

how are you & FH spending the night before your wedding? i was thinking of maybe going to sleep over my parents or have him to go to his dads.
is it bad luck to see each other before the wedding?? or is it just bad luck for him to see you in your wedding dress???

He is a big procastinator & is late to everything unfortunately his dad is like him too... so i want to make sure i am around to get his butt in gear

I am sleeping at RH (hotel) with my mom and FH is staying at OOT hotel with my brothers.

i am staying at my mom's and he is staying in our apt. even though we live together (so its a sin anyways) i just like some traditional things about wedding things ... so no seeing him for me ...

Traditionally, the groom got ready where he lived and the bride got ready at her parents house... On top of that the groom didn't see the bride before the wedding,
However that was before couples cohabitated.
Now,
A lot of the brides I know spent the night before with their parents in their house, or in a hotel close to the ceremony site. I stayed at a hotel, most of my friends that are married stayed with their parents.

It is also becoming more common for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony for pictures or whatever.

We're both staying at the hotel ... in separate rooms. I'll stay in the bridal suite, he'll stay in a junior suite.

We're having a big welcome dinner the night before our wedding, and have lots of OOT guests we'll both want to see and spend time with, so we'll each have a suite to hang out with them in.

He's staying at the hotel, I'm staying at my parent's house. All of my BM's are staying at my parent's house too the night before the wedding!! We're having a massive sleepover!

I am spending the night at my parents' house and he is staying in a room at our RH (which is a hotel). but it's not the honeymoon suite - we'll see that together for the first time the night of our wedding!

i like that sleepover idea!!

I'm probably the only one but we're staying in the hotel room together the night before. I plan to get up to get my hair & make-up done & then get dressed in our room while he's with the GM's. Since we're taking pictures before hand I didn't think it was necessary to pay for separate rooms. Also, it would be too complicated to stay with anyone else because everyone is coming with their husbands or boyfriends so this way is just easier for us.

He's staying and getting ready in our home w/ GM's. I'm staying in a hotel and getting ready there w/ my girls. It's really just because of space. We are seeing each other b/f the ceremony.

Don't subscribe to all the superstitions, just do what's best for you!

Thank everyone! i really think we will spend the night at our apartment..Like i said he is soooo slow to get ready etc.. once he is out the door, i will go to my mom's to get ready

We are getting married on a sunday afternoon, so we are staying at the hotel the night before(in separate rooms) . But I will probably stay one extra night out before as well at my moms house.

I'm sleeping at my parents house's he'll be at the hotel.
Its easy for us because we live in Philly so there isn't a choice to sleep at home...

I am sleeping at a hotel because my parents no longer live here in NY. FH is sleeping at his parents house. I was originally going to sleep in our apartment, but its too small to have all my bridesmaids, family, photographer, makeup and hair people there.
