Hi girls ... I had a question for the Duet Brides on the forum. I am ELATED to have booked TJ for our wedding. They all do AMAZING work! However, we also booked videography there and I am having major second thoughts.
For the Duet brides on the list, did you book videography with them?
And if not, why?
And lastly, do you mind telling me what your photo package looked like without it?
We had been thinking of Orange Films or NY Films - something more cinema like. I know its expensive, but I just dont know!
I may call them today to see if I can back out of the videography part ... or ... am I overthinking?
HELP?!?!

Re: Question for Duet Brides
watch the duet teasers on their website- they are awesome!!!! maybe that'll reassure you.. plus not positive that you can back out...when we signed, he kept telling cancelling was a bad option :) GL

Re: Question for Duet Brides
We are booked with them for video as well as photo. My sister used them for both in 2006, and we were very happy with both!

Re: Question for Duet Brides
I had them for both and if you want a cinematic type video than I would not get the video from them speaking from experience. My video is ok and standard but after seeing some of the more cinematic styled ones I was disappointed and I wish I had gone a different route for video.
I do love my photos!!! They are amazing when it comes to that and all of their photogs are great. Also their album designers are beyond great!!!!
I am doing a TTD video to kinda give me the video I wanted and I am prob going with NY filmworks.

A little off topic but how much of a deposit does duet require?

Re: Question for Duet Brides
I booked my with TJ’s team too and I booked my videography with them also. My brother used them for his wedding two years ago and the pictures and video can out amazing, so we didn’t even bother looking at any other photographers or videographers. It was really a no brainer for us. We booked a photo /video package together so I’m not sure exactly what we are playing for the photographers alone. But we got their highest package with 2 extra hours with TJ and the videographer and are paying 5400 after taxes. Hope this helps :o )

I think it depends on the package, but mine was $500 at signing and $500 30days later. The rest is paid at the wedding and when you pick up everything else after

Re: Question for Duet Brides
we have TJs team booked for photo and video and we are elated. Honestly we dont really care about a 'cinema-feel' so not sure if I'm much help in that dept but we are very confident that we will love the results.

Re: Question for Duet Brides
i booked Duet also
but no video
i wanted something 'different' and more cinematic for the video..and I felt like their video was just a regular wedding video
don't get me wrong, I think the video's are great...I have seen quite a few and they def do a nice job...just not the style I am looking for
butttttt if you want something cinematic it's probably going to cost you more than duet
you have to decide if its super important for you to have that 'cinematic feel'
if not...then I think you will be totally happy with your video!! plus its a great bang for your buck with Duet
