Question for girls getting married in a Church with a time gap with the resecption..

I was just wondering .. what are the girls who are getting married in a church going to do with the gap in btw for your guest??

My mom is going to ask my side to come back to my house and have cookie trays set up.

Are there anything else you girls have planned??

Oh!

Since my two of my aunts live on the way to the RH, guests are heading over there for some snacks and to hang out.

I didn't do anything for them! Some people came to the church in regular clothes and then went home to change in between

I have a pretty big gap (church ceremony at 1 and ch starts at 6) but the hall is an hour away from my church and a lot of people either live in the neighborhood of the church or will be staying at the hotel down the road from the RH. So basically I am not doing anything for them.

we didn't have anyone back to the house....our ceremony was on a friday at 5 - so we figured most would be coming from work (which they did) and those who didn't were mostly dressed casual anyway - most of our guests used the time gap to go home and change - it worked out great...most said it was nice because it left time to breath instead of being rushed...plus our ceremony was in suffolk county & our reception was out in nassau... Our RH also had an early arrival lounge which was nice...but i dont think u need to worry about it - most people will just use the time to go home, change & relax.(our reception wasn't untill 8:30)

My wedding is at 3:30 on a Friday so i am assuming not many people will come accept for close friends and family who leave work early and I know FH's aunt will have his side of the family at her house just as she did for his sisters wedding and my mom lives in a very small condo but will be having snacks for whoever decides to go back to her home.

My wedding is at 3:30 and my reception starts at 8:30. There is a large gap in there but I am having a mass so I figure we will be done the latest by 5:00. That will give whoever comes to the church 3 1/2 hours in between.

I am assuming that some people will go back to my parents or grandparents. OOT guests will hopefully hang out at the hotel, relax a bit and then get on the shuttle to RH.

my ceremony is at 1 we're doing a pre ch hour at the rh (drinks, cheese + fruit etc) at 4...its takes about 30 min to get there so ill have an 1 1/2...i figured ppl would drive straight to the church from where ever and then check into hotels and freshen up/get ready...the local ppl would just go home or go hang out where ever they decide to

Anyone who came out of state came for more than one day and had hotel room. So they either went back to their hotel room or went to East Wind early to check into their rooms there.

I worked out pretty good.

we had this situation- many were OOT guests- well, we were all busy, including immediate family...people just did whatever... most people had hotel rooms to go to since they were staying over, some went to the reception hall- went to the bar, hung out- went to other people's rooms... we had no issues
