Question for Karen G

Question for Karen G

We used Rob A. For more detail info, you can read my previous posts, but for the most part I was very pleased. One thing I would suggest - if its not too late - is to have a lighting assistant. It can make a difference in the photos.

They did our video too - Jerry was our videographer. I haven't seen the video yet, but he was very professional that day.

I did write a letter to the Milleridge and commended them for their service.

Rob didnt have an assistant with him? I know we get a photographer and an assistant and I just assumed that meant that the assistant was for lighting, etc...

no, he didn't. :(

check your contract and make sure. i think it would have made a difference for the indoor photos - honestly, i'm not pleased with all of them. if we had an assistant, i think the outcome would have been better.

the outdoor ones are much better.

Honestly, based upon most people I've spoken with, the average turn around time seems to be 6 months. Shame on me for not catching that in the contract. 18.5% of a $2300 package is nearly $400. After paying for the wedding by ourselves, I'm not ready to fork over $400 that easily.

Besides, ...I'm going to be ordering additional prints AND another parent album. Almost another $300 in sales. AND I've referred many people to them - many from this board and my sister!

By the way, if and when you do schedule, be sure to book the date for your planning session when you pick up the proofs. I offered to meet mid week and during the middle of the day and it took me over a week and a half to get an appointment. Imagine trying to get an evening slot! :o(

I just had that conversation with my FI and I felt bad because we went to cassarino with your recommendation
NOt sure what the package was ( i think E)

Sounds like you're in good shape :o)

If the contract says it has an assistant, then not to worry, you'll have one! :o)

The contract rules - always.

Our appointment is tomorrow. I spent over 4 hours last night planning our albums, 3 parent albums + 20 extra photos for family and friends. Whew! So in addition to our package, we're spending nearly another $600.....We'll see how it goes - I gave up worrying. There's not much I can do. Besides, I'm trying to be positive. The clause is their 'right', doesn't mean they have to exercise it. So, we'll see how it goes!

Thanks for the encouraging words
hope your appointment went well-- how come you decided to have them do your reprints(for family and friends) since you had the negatives? were there prices comparable to other places? I jsut assumed that we would do reprints on our own--one of the plusses of having the negatives ?!

All is well - :)

That makes sense about the negatives-- as for dominic it did seem like he was doing the same thing for so long (office work) hopefully this doesnt mean he is bored with being there-- I might just call to follow up on our contract just to make sure-- so if it does come to picking another photographer it is not something we have to do a week before the wedding
