Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I just couldn't believe that the moment had arrived- our wedding day and I was about to walk down the aisle, I had thought about it forever...I was calm with a bit of butterflies and just over joyed standing next to my dad.

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
Honestly, I was just really excited and overwhelmed because our church was packed, and I was touched. I honestly thought:
this church is full of my past, present, and future

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I was busy yelling at my limo driver. He started telling the BP to change places. I won't even tell you what I said to him.
I was actually doing totally fine with nerves until Canon D started, which was the song for the BP to walk down to. Then I just said out loud, 'OMG, I'm getting married!' Yep, it hit me 2 minutes before walking down the aisle.
I was really happy walking down the aisle and I looked at nobody but my DH, and it was a loooong aisle. But as I got closer, his mom stepped right in front of him to take pictures. So, in reality, my last thought before grabbing his hand was 'GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY WOMAN! I WANT TO SEE MIKE!'
Guess I'm not typical.

My 2nd FG went down right before my dad and I (The 2 girls were supposed to go together, but they told me that wanted to do it alone---I was shocked because they are both very shy and not very people friendly, plus the walk down the aisle was a long one) So she starts going all by herself and stops suddenly and I am watching her through the doors and thinking 'Oh No she is going to run the other way, she is going to run the other way!!' But to my surprise she stopped so she could pick up the side of her dress and walked the entire way all alone with a giant smile (she's only 3)
I started to cry because I was so proud of her and I said to my dad 'Okay Dad if Sam can do it so can I!' The doors opened and I remember thinking holy cow I know all of these people and they are all here for us!
Its the best feeling EVER!!! Cherish every second of it!
Here's a picture of my FG to give you more of an idea!
OMG... that's one of the cutest pictures I've ever seen!!!!
What a cute story to remember!!!

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
The moment before I walked down the aisle I was looking to see my DH but I couldn't see him being my view was being blocked by all our guests who were standing. All I wanted to do was lock eyes with him and I did the moment it was time for me to walk, just thinking about it gives me the goosebumps

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I was an emotional wreck. My dad turned to me and said, 'Lisa, Just Smile. Just Smile, Lisa' I remember thinking about what my mom thought walking down the aisle...'I'm walking with my past towards my future...this aisle is the only independence I get!'
Your heart flutters, you pray not to trip and you just try to take everything and everyone in... It's an amazing experience!

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I just wanted to see FH but I was so nervous, so I saw my parents and they were smiling and I decided to just put on the biggest smile and start walking so no one could tell I was nervous...it was so surreal. I remember seeing all my family and friends in the pews and then seeing FH up front. It was so amazing.

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
That was when I was the most nervous. Once my girls walked down the aisle and they closed the doors and then opened them for me and my dad, I was like 'WOW' - I'm really doing this. It was at the moment, that I knew this was my moment. Everyone starring at me! It felt pretty good!
And the aisle felt longer that day too!

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
was totally trying to pull myself together - both me and my dad were crying...tried to focus on my husband at the other end...
The limo driver was trying to calm me down but really wasn't helping. I was like, I know I'm crying - Ok!! I'm working on it!
Both him and my dad also didn't realize my veil (blusher) was up. And i was not budging til it was down. they were like c'mon, you need to move and i was like just pull my veil down and I will!!!!
