What do you remember thinking, if anything, RIGHT before you walked down the aisle?? I can only IMAGINE what will be going through my mind... please do share to give me (and other future brides) and idea of what to expect.

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
All I was thinking was - Dad - stop stepping on my dress!
He did it with every step on our way to the aisle, AND down the aisle...

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I am getting married on Saturday - and am getting a little nervous about walking down the aisle!
Any more advice from past brides on what to expect?

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
Well, I chose to walk down the aisle alone (I'm older and I don't really get along with my dad) so I was VERY nervous. I had to walk around a corner so when I started I couldn't see anyone until I turned the corner. As I started to walk out I was thinking about keeping my flowers 'not too low and not too high'. As soon as I turned the corner & could see my FH EVERYTHING else just melted away, all I could see was him and I was thinking how much I loved him, I thought my heart would burst - oh, and I was thinking he looked really hot in his suit

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
This is making me so nervous - I have this condition called 'Vasovagel'....Basically I pass out pretty easily from emotional distress, loss of fluids, major anxiety...you get the idea. I have passed out about 10 times so far...I am soooo fearful of my wedding day! I am just reading this thread and getting all teary eyed and I can't get my nose to stop flaring! What am I going to do..

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
for me:
EVERYTHING had gone WRONG for the entire week before my wedding... even the DAY OF... things were falling apart left and right.
i stood there wanting it all to be over. my father just smiled and said it would all be ok (the way parents do). suddenly, i thought it would... it would be ok. we were all here, healthy, alive, together.
so, i took my father's hand, took my sons' hand and i was ready!! nothing else mattered... at all!!!
that was my moment

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I know this is an old thread, but I'm going to add now, even though I'm not married!
As you know, I went to a wedding Saturday. During the reception, the bride found me and said, 'No matter what you're thinking, nervous about, etc.....when those church doors fling open and everyone is looking at you - count to 10 before you start to move. I didn't, and I don't remember ONE SECOND of my walk down the aisle. Everyone's faces were a blur, especially when I caught Brian's eye and saw him crying. COUNT TO 10!!! Before I knew it, I was at the altar, kissing, then turning around to leave. It went sooooo fast!'
I thought it was very sweet of her to find me and share this

Very sweet indeed.
We just need to remind each other when the time comes, to do this.

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
Right before I walked down the aisle....I thought 'Oh my God I have to pee!'....my dad was great...he told me to go to the bathroom because they couldn't start without me. So I ran...literally ran...out the front door of the church and around to the door where the bathroom was....honestly people outside the church probably thought that I was a runaway bride!! Then I went back in to the church and was ready!

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
I was very calm. Considering it was a gorgeous day outside (sunny & 70), I was outside the church as all my BM's went down the aisle. As I started to approach the door, my dad turned to me & said 'Are you ready?' All I could think of was I can't wait to get on the other side of this door & see my DH waiting for me!!! As we started to walk down the aisle, I started to walk so fast bc I wanted to get up there! In my video, you even see my dad tap my leg & tell me to slow down!!!

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
We had our two flower girls go down the aisle right before us. My 4 year old niece decided at the last minute that she wasn't interested in carrying the flower basket we bought for her so she left it in the doorway. When my Dad and I walked up to the doorway I started laughing when I saw her flowers.
Seriously, though, I spent most of the time walking down the aisle and looking at the crowd. I wish I would have looked at DH a little more.

Re: Question for MARRIED ladies:
The limo guy told me, when the doors open, take your time, only go when you are ready....they'll wait for you.
Then the doors open & my music started and my dad took my arm & was shaking & I just about lost it, then the limo guy made a joke and I regained my composure.
I also remembered thinking to keep my flowers low so it didn't cover my dress and to smile.
My dad was so nervous. I made it halfway down smiling & fine & then as soon as I saw DH, I lost it....
I was so excited! As soon as I began to walked down I looked at my DH. I couldn't wait to see his face as I walked down the aisle. Then I looked at the crowd but only saw a few people.
